Very long wooo: I personally enjoy using Android over iOS due to the amount of customization it offers to the user (rooting, unlocking the bootloader, flashing custom roms/firmware, etc). One thing I absolutely envy from iOS though is Apple's dedication to and the number of updates that they roll out to their iPhones. The iPhone 5s will be getting the latest version of iOS (iOS 12) later this year, it's almost a 5 year old phone and it's still going to be getting a major software upgrade from Apple. Android phones simply cannot relate to this kind of treatment, not even flagships such as the Pixel 2 will be gifted 5 consecutive yearly updates. How many software updates an Android phone will be given (if any xd) vary heavily on the manufacturer. Google announced Project Treble a while back which is supposedly going to allow oems to roll out quicker updates to their users as long as the phone is Treble enabled, but we have yet to see how that is going to play out. Tldr; Android lol

I love Apple and I love their phones, but I HATE their prices and that is my only issue with them. They sell their products at a higher cost with less perks and abilities than other companies, such as Google or Samsung, and it's shown so clearly. Look up "Oppo Find X" and you'll see how Apple is overpriced. The Oppo Find X has an inscreen fingerprint reader, it has NO notch, no chin and it has an entire motorised section on the top of the phone which is brilliant and its face ID (Yes, both Face ID AND a fingerprint reader!) is almost as quick as Apple's. The price difference? The Oppo Find X is CHEAPER than the iPhone X. I don't hate iPhones, like the iPhone 8 and X both have incredible cameras and the design and beauty of their hardware and software is unparalleled, but the prices are bullshit lol.

Sounds great but the cameras probably don’t measure up, cpu, performance stability and longevity, display, water resistance, speakers, design, software support support and customer service probably don’t measure up.

Not true. The camera is remarkable, not sure about the water resistance, but the display is beautiful and bright and the design is completely insane in how great it is, however it may not be for everyone since it's very different to how smart phones look usually. I wouldn't be able to tell you anything since the phone isn't available in Australia, I've just watched a LOT of reviews on it and I trust the tech professionals enough, haha.
