You misunderstand me. I'm not saying that being white automatically makes you richer; I'm saying that, statistically, white people are on average born into more favorable circumstances. The average income for a family headed by a white person was $71,300 in 2014, while for Hispanics and Blacks it was $43,300, according to Pew Research Center. I would be hard-pressed to believe that that has changed radically in the last four years.
