With the rumors out about 1.7.6 having name changing, if we change our names, will it erase our Data? (Donator ranks, points, Etc.)
 
This update will probably break all of the server, and it'll take several MONTHS to update as EVERY variable has to work with the UUID and this'll need to change thousands of variables and code lines.
It'll also mess with permissions and variables, and it's going to be very bad.

I honestly wish Mojang never introduced this update, people shouldn't change their name, changing it only causes trouble and confusion.

Those things only apply for Minecraft Vanilla related files... not the ones a server uses with custom plugins, etc.

As Bukkit is built with Vanilla MC as base, I'm guessing they'll make it work.
