Four years later...
Four years ago (almost), in the depths of winter of December 2019, development of a new server began. Originally, it was quite unofficial - just Steal and I pondering about the theoretical existence of a server that was an innovative and a unique, complete siege experience with a close community.
Looking back, this seemed like an impossible task, yet we began work regardless and the first commit was made to the GitHub repository;
Work continued and a few months later a small group of developers had banded together. Since then, almost 1,800 commits have been made to our core plugin, and we now have over 30 repositories on the Empire War organisation. Empire War v3
We are delighted to announce the arrival of a complete overhaul of the Empire War Minecraft server, the ultimate adventure that will transport you to the heart of Middle-Earth! Prepare yourselves for an unforgettable experience as you engage in invigorating siege PvP battles from various locations from Lord of the Rings, capturing flags and conquering castles.
After several years of steady progress, we have finally reached the point where we are ready to share with you some long anticipated details for both features, a trailer, and a release date...
The dedicated staff team has been working tirelessly to redefine the entire experience, and after a long time, it appears it is finally upon us. Our team of developers are excited to introduce fresh concepts and cutting-edge features to expand the gameplay you love, whilst also maintaining the elements that have been a core part of Empire War since all the way back in 2012.
The grand opening event is scheduled for the end of August. Mark your calendars and gather your fellowship, as this is an event of monumental significance to the history of our server that you cannot afford to miss!
