An EW story

This August I went trough a really rough time. My left eye got infected to the point I couldn't see with it or even open it anymore. I had to stay awake for 3 days straight to put eye drops in my eyes every half hour and had to go to the hospital every morning. The doctors wanted to take me in because it was really important I put the eye drops in my eye otherwise I could be blind forever. But I told them I could do it myself so I set an alarm on my phone to go off every half hour. Every night my parents and brothers would go to sleep but i had to stay awake.

Now you might ask what do you do all night when everybody is asleep?
I played on EW, when everyone was asleep I would play on EW. Most players would go when it got to late but the nice thing is that there were US players on EW who would keep playing with me untill they had to too had to go. At night we wouldn't fight anymore but just build stairs up to the gate of Tirith and we made the Osgiliath bridge really fancy. I was exhausted because of the sleeplessness and could only see with one eye but I could still play on EW.

There is a dutch song about the province Brabant and how when everything goes dark and everybody goes asleep there is still some light left in Brabant. This is what EW means to me, when I feel down or go trough a hard time I come back to EW and play with guys I have played with for years. I love the community even though they might not love me. I have been a childish child and a dickish teenager but always found my spot in EW. I could keep on telling story's but enough is enough.

A big thank you to the players, staff and the big boss Sjoerdtim.
This is my see you later all good things come to an end, EW will forever be remembered. ;)

Fun fact: I have been the shortest lived staff member in EW history but had more power in that time than most other staff members that lasted much longer. Tim made me OP for about 2 seconds. :)

Heck this makes me half emotional and I can connect with a lot of your feelings. I have some memories from the past 6 years I couldn't possibly put into words right now but you did it pretty well ;)
