Atherys Ascended + Optifine= maximum minecraft experience

I'd make ice invisible in the texturepack you use though.
1.8 will give us invisible barriers, but we'll have to use ice until those are added.
 
I don't see why you'd combine them. Conquest is simply a bigger and better version (obviously my opinion) of Athery's. I also find Conquest to make almost anything look better while Athery's doesn't work for builds. It's much more realistic and it offers more in terms of detail.

However, for this server either works quite well! :)
 
You'll get full experience with Athery's if you're around my builds, cause that's the texturepack I use when building ^^
 
Why not use the EW pack? The troll heads and uruk-hai scimitars are amazing!
 
Tried conquest, good but the some of the sounds were really, really annoying, like the pain noises. Bow noises were good.
 
If I were to rate texture packs by their quality and realism, I'd say Conquest is the ultimate and undisputed leader. Yet, if you're going for sheer amount of textures to build with, WesterosCraft's texture pack is supreme. I've only recently started building on WesterosCraft, and I can say that their custom launcher combined with the texture pack is unequaled.

And for the sound, try using the Conquest texture pack, OblivionCraft sound pack, and the Hymns of Conquest sound pack make for an excellent combination.
 
a'therys ascended doesn't allow people to use there texture pack if they edit any textures in it. read it :p

DO Not:
- You are not allowed use any of these textures in your own, or remix, pack; even if you've edited them!
- You also cannot re-upload this pack on any other website, or claim it is your own work. No exceptions to any of these

DO:
- You may edit these textures if you are creating mod support for this texture pack. So long as you do not use an adfly or similar link for the download.
- You may use this pack in a video or screenshots, credit is appreciated but not required.
- You may include this pack in a download with a map of your creation or adventure map, so long as it is not edited or remixed with another pack. Credit is required in this case.
- You may use this pack as your servers official texture pack. So long as you follow the other terms of use.
