Greetings fellow Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion fans. I send this message to bring you an amazing thing for all of us to listen to. The modern popular types of music today are Rap, Pop, Dub-Step, Country, and Alternative. And I completely dislike all those music genres. But I am here to bring you all music that I have discovered that is none of those genres, and yet it will still be the most epic thing you ever heard. Do you know why? Because this is copywrited, Lord of the Rings music made by real bands and not by fans. Please keep an open mind as it took years for me to gather this type of music deemed... Tolkien Metal.

I will check those out. I truly hope you loved my music. Mine wasn't covers or fan-made stuff, it was from real bands. Tell me if u liked them or not. And ya, I saw that guy before. Skyrim meets metal is epic.
 
OK, I listened 3 of these, and as metallica speed fan and Sabaton theme i think the battlelore is better. Summoning is good, but sloow(and 3 first like don't works in smartphone). I mostly like Sabaton band(primo victoria!).
 
Black Metal began as a satanic and evil form of metal music in Norway. The bands burned churches and did live rituals. But now Black Metal has evolved. We now have Viking Metal, Christian Black Metal, and Tolkien Metal.
 
I wasn't knowing that, but doesn't matter for me (atheist peace). Sabaton is power metal(and it's Norwegian) and metallica is trash metal.
 
I am not going to talk about religion. As far as this forum goes, my mind is open and I don't care about different people's religion. Because my religion teaches me to have an open mind. Anyway, back to the main topic. Some power bands can get pretty dam epic, and I'm not a huge fan of thrash metal. Summoning is actually pretty cool once you get used to them. They are a Tolkien-Based black metal project from Austria, started by Silennius and his friend, Protector. They sing all about nature, medieval history, or J.R.R. Tolkien's mythology. They use great symphonic sound and powered drums with a small bit of singing from their female friend in the song WHERE HOPE AND DAYLIGHT DIE. They don't play live since they have only two members but Summoning is a true masterpiece. And if you like LOTR and hardcore thrashing, search for bands like Gorgoroth, Burzum, Ringwraith, Isengard, and Uruk-Hai. And if u like LOTR and power metal, search for Blind Guardian.
 
I officially ended with metallica some time ago, but if get angry it's the best aid. Sabaton is swedish power metal group and they are singing about war and battles. I personally love "wermacht", "panzerkampf" and "uprising" (it's about my nation though). I'm not liking death metal and bands like "behemoth" . I was hearing "bad religion" in old days, before I meet metal. Oh, and just today researched "amon amarth" band. In other kinds of music's I like covers, remakes and minecraft adaptation music(like 'from the ground up" and "revenge"). Also, i founded five best soundtracks of games:" shank 2","flatout serie " and" mass effect 3".
 
Amon Amarth is one of my favorite groups of all time. I am truly in love with Viking history, and so I love Viking metal. Google Viking Metal for more Medieval Themed bands like Amon Amarth
 
Ya, we are alone. Everyone nowadays likes Rap or Pop or any music that's like Bla Bla Bla Party, Bla Bla Bla Baby, Bla Bla Bla Romance, and Bla Bla Bla Rap. We need a metal Revolution. Take down all the puny bands that call themselves metal. And tear down the walls of Rap and Pop. Viking Metal, Folk Metal, Thrash Metal, and Black Metal - Now that is REAL MUSIC. Keep listening to Summoning, you may eventually like what you hear.

And sadly... i need to agree with that everyone hears rap and pop... its even spreading to rocks, but thank god (haha) that its not going further(have you heard rock christ music?).
 
When will people learn? Rap and Pop poisons the mind. Do you realize if you want any songs about Medieval times, Fantasy, History, Religion, Vikings, Mythology, Science Fiction, Nature, Life, Death, Love, Hate, Depression, Inspiration, and much much more, its ALL in metal music? It is true beauty and very creative. While pop, country, techno, and rap are close-minded and sing about the same stuff with the same sound OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
 
Just a note, people are allowed to have different tastes in music than you. Judging them or blindly saying that yours is the best is not polite nor warranted, because your tastes and theirs is a matter of opinion.
 
We have nothing about music types, but about music words. In metal there's generally some kind of sense, theme. Have you ever heard a pop music singing about WWII?
 
I think farm's a metal fan. I'm not at least, horrible music. Too loud, annoying, disturbing.

You might be looking for a sense or theme in lyrics. Someone else might be looking for something else. Again, just opinion.
My taste in music is anything that can make me feel something.
That includes some pop, some country, some metal, some techno, a hell of a lot of orchestra, ect. Anything that can inspire emotion of any kind, good or bad.
Flat music, things that make me feel nothing, I don't like.

But then again, what I see as flat others may see as inspiring. Just opinion.
 
Okay, yes you have a point. I am not a huge fan of classic rock but when I hear LOTR lyrics in a led-zeplin song, I say THIS CRAP IS GREAT!!! Do I like the music? No. Do I like the lyrics? Yes. Its like summoning. I love their songs not just cuz theyre metal, but cuz they use metal to depict a reflection of myself, in middle-earth. The summoning song called FLIGHT OF THE NAZGUL has excellent lyrics and a great theme. But I don't like it, know why? Cuz it sounds terrible. I think Silennius did terrible at singing, and I think Protector should keep singing, like he has. If I somehow hear a pop or rap song about Vikings or LOTR, I would still hate it, CUZ ITS POP!!! AND THE MUSIC THAT MAKES IT POP, ALSO MAKES IT SOUND AWFUL!!
That's why I hate pop, its all the same and no matter what the lyrics are, the music will suck. People I meet everyday say they hate Justin Bieber. Why? He sings about the same crap that they all listen to. I hate JB more than anyone in the world, but there is no reason pop fans have to hate him. Pop and Rap will always sound terrible. And Summoning will always blow my mind....

Medieval Metal is Pure Beauty, and it defines me. Because when I hear a metal song about Vikings or LOTR, I see myself...
 
I hate Justin Bieber because he's a world-class douche. Not because of his music, but because he fakes asthma attacks to prank paramedics, punches old people, starts fights regularly, spits on fans, has gotten banned in multiple countries, throws temper tantrums regularly, was thrown out of a movie theater while screaming "YOU ARE ALL USELESS MONKEYS" or something like that, ect, ect, ect.
