Why you should be unbanned/unmuted:
Dear Staff and Players of Empire War,
I am probably the most banned player in this server’s history. I have been playing on the server since 2012/2013, and I have been banned multiple times. I’ve done multiple ban appeals: some have been accepted, while others have not been accepted. I am not going to honey my words or suck up to the staff, as I believe they should hear what I have to say for what it truly is. I am also not going to talk about all the money I have donated, because frankly, a few hundred dollars “donated” for my own personal satisfaction does not justify the atrocities I committed over the years. I have been banned for anything from excessive swearing to using multiple hacks, each of those multiple times. When I came back in 2017, everybody, even the former staff who knew what I had done in the past, had high hopes for this new, sensible 18 year player. On the surface, I was a polite and friendly person, and was able to rekindle with many old friends. Everybody thought I was a changed man, but they were wrong. Old habits die hard as they say. In 2014/15, I was banned for a month for using anti-knockback hack, which I used to protest the bonecrusher knockback. It was a pretty stupid idea, as I basically broke rules to make myself feel better about not being able to pass my forum poll to ban the class. You’d think that after not playing Minecraft for 2 years, a man would see the errors of his ways. You are absolutely wrong. This type around, I was not only a hacker, but I was also a malicious hacker. At first, I became a hacker to protest something my 15 year old self thought was “unjust.” However, as a young adult, I became consumed with hacking. Even though I was a good pvper back on EW 1.0, I just couldn’t stop myself from hacking. Why the hell on earth should a guy who has not hacked once, but multiple times before not get the most severe punishment? Even I, the very person who is writing an appeal to get unbanned, can’t answer that question. The only thing a man could do is admit that he was wrong, and hope that people will forgive him. The reason I wrote this ban appeal was to see if I could go back to the game that I grew up playing. Heck, most of the players who are reading this grew up playing this together with me. We may have had our differences, but the fact is that we enjoyed our time doing the same thing for many years, together. The primary reason I seek to get unbanned is so that I can play together with my little brother. I’m his role model IRL, and he plays on this server because I was played on it. Also, this game offers me stress relief from my college life. It does what partying can’t: it let’s me have fun without waking up at 3 PM with a hangover. I hope the staff finds what I have written to be truly sincere, and that I can truly stop doing stuff that is against the rules. Whatever you guys decide, it is for the better. Thank you for reading this, and have a good night/wonderful day.
