Hello everyone (The few people who actively visit the forums)

You all know me someone who complains alot and sometimes make ridiculous suggestions as honest attempts to improve the server. Most staff members are getting annoyed with me
constantly complaining and stating my opinion on things that i have no say in. Well today i´m going to do just that and complain about something i feel is quite urgent:
The staff situation. Some of you might remember how we all felt before Rik, Slime, Makz and Rob got promoted to pre-mods. I´m afraid we´re heading towards another staff crisis
where nobody really is active or cares about the server. Lately whenever we have tried to reach out to one of the top staff on the server we get the answer "Idc, ask the others"

I can´t blame anyone for being inactive, i get that the staff team can be extremely busy IRL and obviously, school comes first. What i will blame you for is the lack of motivation
and care you show for the server and it´s comminity. Today Olex and I tried to show staff something we were working on for EW and asked him to bring up our idea to the
staff team. The first response were the one i mentioned above and after finally getting him to come online we got told to ask someone’s else. If this continues then I won’t try to help anymore cause my work will do down the drain.

I am waiting for the staff to take our questions and answer them, not to say “go ask (insert name here ) I’m busy/inactive etc. if it can be done get it done, if it can’t then tell us. We don’t need to go in circles to ask if somthing can be done. And if a dev or owner can’t do it then this server will go to hell.

Okay.

Firstly, let me talk about the 'go ask x, I can't do anything':

• Mods *actually* can't do anything of importance. We cannot add classes, we cannot import maps (though we can set them up, we cannot change features, we cannot fix bugs (Steal/Tim even banned us from officially 'solving' bugs on the bug reports section, even if we have done.
• Even if we did have the perms to do something important, none of us know how to use Skript, so even if, by some stroke of insanity, Tim gave us access to the console or something, we couldn't change anything.

So, why isn't Tim/Steal doing anything?

• I'm not supposed to go public about these things. But Steal outright is refusing to do anything *at all* on the server, even the smallest things. Because Tim no longer has reasonable access to some old EQ worlds, which IMO is a little childish.
• Tim is busier now, but hopefully in the coming weekends I can talk to him about implementing some suggestions.

Do we need more staff?

• How large is our playerbase at the moment? Not that large.
• I realise I haven't been very active the past few days, but I will try my hardest in the future.
• Ant is personally annoyed that he can't come on more, so on both our parts it isn't a lack of inspiration. Inspiration-wise, I can't talk for the other staff members.
• In *my* view, there aren't any good options for staff who are active on forums and server. Yeah, I could possibly see some people as Pre-Mods, but IDK Tim's attitudes on that rank.
• And yes, maybe some people could be demoted to 'streamline' the team.

Personally I have little time to spend playing videogames or doing stuff aside from work and school.
And without tim/steal around on here we mods can't make anything happen, so for me there's no real reason to spend time online, cause I started seeing it as a waste of time and effort.

I'm sorry for the inactivity, but nothing will change by adding mods or changing up the staffteam if the team's leading figures aren't gonna do anything for a while.

We know you guys can´t do admin stuff, if you could we might actually have gotten something finished.

We´ve noticed...

Our playerbase isn´t that large atm, but hopefully it can grow now that we´re heading towards holidays.
You have been more active than any other staff member dude, and once again we can´t blame you for being inactive.
He shouldn´t have such a bad attitude about it, the step to mod is pretty big, and as you said there aren´t many clear candidates (OTHER THAN [user avatar="https://cravatar.eu/helmavatar/thebeserker/74.png" name="thebeserker"]1458143[/user] ) so maybe you would need to place a few on trial but be a bit harder with the results?

Thanks for the reply and I get how’s this is not your problem as a hole. I did I know that it couldn’t do much but I feel if I asked (mods) they could get through better to Tim then I could.

I am aware of Steals situation and I know how he can be cause I’ve worked with him before.
