Can't Get On The Server NEED HELP!

Well, I know I'm not a mod, but I can guarantee I can help.
So there's this really cool thing all the staff of the server can do. It's called mind-reading. What this means is that they can look into your head and see all the details of any problem you're having. Isn't that great! It means you don't have to type a single thing on your post that would help troubleshoot anything because the staff can read your mind and do it for you!

I'm sorry for the sarcasm, but I feel like everyone should how to troubleshoot tech errors, and what witrus is doing right now is simply inconsiderate and ignorant.
Witrus, I have helped loads of people on minecraftforums with various technical errors, and I actually see this problem a lot. I like to think I'm nicer in most other posts, but that's not really for me to judge.
First, restart your computer. This is just to clean up any clumsy background processes that might have started for various reasons.
Anyway, I looked at the error you got in your other thread (which this one is a clone of) and that's the first part of error troubleshooting. What I want you to do is open your launcher (not the game, the launcher) and click "edit profile"
Once you're in the edit profile window, check the box near "Launcher Visibility"
You will now be able to click on and edit your launcher visibility based on that little dropdown menu right next to the "Launcher Visibility" text.
On the dropdown menu, change your launcher visibility to "Keep the Launcher open"
Now, save your profile.
Close every single window on your computer except for the minecraft launcher.
Now start the game. Once you're in the game, try to log onto EmpireWar. If you stop getting the error, fantastic, we're done here. If you still get the error, copy the text that shows up in the launcher and paste it here on the forums.
Now for more information: What version of minecraft are you running? What OS do you use (Windows 7/8, Mac, Linux)? If running windows 8, when is the last time your computer forced and update and made you restart? If on windows, have you disabled your firewall for minecraft (If you don't know what this is, say so)?
If I can't figure it out (which is possible), at the very least other people will be able to help you because they will actually have useful information.
