Chief of Dunedain

Wolves roam the Shire's borders, Goblins stir in the Lone Lands, Hill-Men are abroad on the North Downs and the Ettenmoors are no longer safe. The Elves can no longer hold off this threat alone, and neither the folk of Bree nor the Bounders of the Shire can defend their small countries. However, there are some who can.
Though Arnor is destroyed, its people scattered, there still remain some in which the blood of Numenor runs strong. These rangers are in small bands, and are leaderless, but if they were united under one leader, they would be capable of causing the tide of darkness to falter. But who shall this leader be?

As in the other applications, please post rp name, backstory, and several sentences on why you would be a good leader.

Aye. We need some 'elp from some place, our bounders and shirrifs can't keep every goblin out of our borders. I reckon they'll be attacking in huge groups soon, so who ever wants to come and 'elp us hobbits live calmy, then we can offer something in return, like the best brew from our little inn up here in the Shire.

*pulls out huge tankard of matured Dwarven ale*

Hehehee.

But if it comes to all out war, you may be sure that the Dwarves shall have a part in it as great as that of any Elf or Dunedain.

Shouldn't you think of the darkness that spreads in your kingdom first instead of making such a journey?

Do not advise me on what I should do, master elf. The darkness is kept at bay by the power of men. Mordor's power is growing and the race of men is the only thing holding it back.

Yes, Gondorian men, that is. Unless you're gonna agree with me, then there would be literally no point to send your men up here if you need to defend your own god forsaken nation.

My name is Immeral.

My home was destroyed by raiders, not of uruk kind, but men. My whole family... gone. I have the virtue that most thick skulled people lack, the virtue of insight. I learned long ago that any one man can be just as bad as any orc or goblin. Ever since my home was destroyed, I have lived by roaming from place to place, doing what I could to stay alive. Most times I was a sellsword, a common mercenary, other times I was a farmer, or a soldier. In this way, I have learned a vast amount about the world. I have traveled from the deepest hottest corners of the great desert, to the icy peaks of the grinding ice.

The random packs of my people must unite under one banner if we are to rid this land of darkness. I would do this by having my men scout the land, looking for disturbances. Any sight of evil and we shall quickly swoop in and destroy it. That is the easy part, we cannot have the people of this earth fearing for their lives day after day, we need to wipe out any evil we see before it comes to the attention of the public, swiftly, and silently. If we failed in this, chaos could emerge, and like I have said, any one man can be as bad as an orc.

*inhales deeply*
The smell of good roleplay and backstory is like oxygen to me in this world of 70% N, 20% XE, and 10% NH3.

I might as well apply. So, here we go:

I am called Quirky.

I am an elven archer with a past filled with death, hope, and battles. I lived in a small kingdom, supervised it. It was there I learned the craft of the bow, becoming quite adept at it. Then, what was once a peaceful retreat, went sour. The kingdom was attacked by a strange enemies of monsters never before seen in those parts. They killed everyone in their path. I took command, rallying the scattered citizens as I formed ranks, hoping for a chance to drive back the enemy. I was able to use tactics and strategies to my advantage, something that might come in handy in case of war. But the enemy was too strong, overwhelming our kingdom 3 to 1. They set the forest ablaze, leaving me the only survivor. It was then I met up with some of the bards, traveling to Minas Trinith where I learned information of the lands, places, and alliances.

I would make a good leader because not only have I been forced to rally others to a greater good, but I have been provided with an insight of war and knowledge of the countries and lands. I learned much as I journeyed through the brush, witnessing much of the hurt and pain of the troubled lands. It has reacquainted me with a bigger, more complicated picture of the land. I shall prove a useful diplomat for the people that before had no voices, having already consulted with many leaders of lands.
For being united is an important thing, and I hope to ensure the safety of others, ensure that the unspoken shall find their voices. Not only that, but I hope to drive back the shadow of darkness cast on the people.
For I know more than anyone, that it is possible to rise from the ashes, bigger and brighter than before.

Election is closed.

Hail Quirky, chief of the Dunedain, last of the house of Isildur.

And hail Pwner, nephew of Quirky. Though your blood is mingled with that of lesser men, anyone can see thou art brave and wise. It shall fall to you to defend the lands from Weathertop to the Tower Hills, while Quirky resides in the capital of Fornost.

Sorry, Pwner, I love yours too, so you get to be 2nd. :)
