After long years the Dwarves have started to expand once more. Thalin, King Under the Mountain, has authorized the founding of a new colony at the northernmost source of the Lune. Kordian, steward of Ered Luin, is to head the colonization effort. Here in these mountains have been found great wealth of copper, tin, iron and lead, while in this region are great pine forests in which Dark Elves have long dwelt. Kordian is ordered thus:
In the first month
To establish a village in the designated spot
To establish a road from this colony to Thorin's Halls for ease of transporting foodstuffs and supplies to the colony
In the second month
To begin the delving of great quarries in the mountains for stone and ores
To begin the felling and replanting of trees here
To construct several sawmills and forges for the refining of logs and the smelting of ores
In the third month
To construct multiple mills at the source of the Lune with which to power the forges, quarries, and lumberyards of the colony
To begin the pasturing of feldunost goats and murkhagn boars for mounts and foodstuffs
