Concerning lag

As some people don't understand how "lag" works, let me explain it to you.

TPS
There is currently no lag caused by our actual server, the TPS never goes below 19.0 and is usually between 19.5 and 20, which is not or barely noticeable.

Ping
Some people who live far away from the hosting location, Amsterdam, may experience a high ping.
Ping is the time it takes you to connect to the server from your location, it does not cause lag but causes the server to reply later to what you do, though it does keep this at about the same timespan and isn't irregular, this is never fixable by our server, and will always remain like this, as we can only host the server from one location and Amsterdam is most central for me and the biggest of the playerbase. (Netherlands/UK)

FPS
You can also have FPS lag caused by your own computer not having enough RAM to handle it, this can be seen in the left top corner while pressing F3, (xx FPS).
This can't be fixed by us and is entirely the fault of your own computer.

Complaining about lag is useless, we can't improve it any more than you can.
You can improve it by buying a better computer, increasing your Minecraft's RAM (How? Tutorial) to increase your FPS, or move closer to Amsterdam to decrease your ping. (lol)

Please think about this before screaming "LAG" in chat or creating lag threads.

Well, another way to improve it is to have a LAN connection between your router and your computer instead of a WiFi connection if you already haven't.

Trust me, the difference is insane. Especially if there's a storm :3

Never knew that, thanks for the advice.

lan connections are less safe because your wifi connetion is better proteected and lan is straight forward and trys to avoid the firewalls etc

Ehm. No.

WiFi is terrible for protection.
