Kordian-only roleplay adventure. This is the story of his apprenticeship, since he wants to become a smith, Please no one else butt in, your comments will be ignored.

Alright, Kordian, here we go!

Kordian, Half-Elven rogue and one-shot adventurer, has recently returned from fighting the ghost of a wizard in a labyrinth. He now turns his thoughts to more personal matters. Kordian wishes to become a smith, and he will have only the best teacher. As everyone knows, the best teachers of smithcraft are the Dwarves, who surpass all. Thus, he has traveled to the Dwarven town of Khun-Vorden, to seek out the smith Garan, who, Kordian hopes, will consent to teach him the art of metalworking.

You are outside the gate to Khun-Vorden. You face a pair of large, stone doors, carved with reliefs of mountains, mines, and Dwarves. On either side stand two stolid Dwarven sentries in chain armor. They are helmed and carry halberds. Behind you are several houses of stone, and some shops.

Hail! O Dwarven Sentries, I wish to Gain entrance into the city.
*Opens the doors*
*Walks into the Smith shop*
*Bows*
I heard you are one of the greatest blacksmiths in all the Land, and I
wish to Learn from you, For I wish to Learn the Ancient art of Smithing
and wish to Become Proficient.
*Bows*
I wish to learn, and I wish to become your apprentice.

(( BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! ))

The two guards look at the strange Half-Elf who is bowing to the large entry hall to the city in front of him, with a fountain and Dwarf statue in the center, and market stalls around it. Sunlight pours out of the roof, illuminating the statue and making the water in the fountain dance. One of them mutters, "Moradin's hammer, he takes our architecture more skilfully that we do."

The entry hall has several stalls of people selling armor, weapons, tools, mining supplies and tackle, fresh bread, savory meats, and other things. Dwarves walk here and there, shopping, haggling, laughing and talking

The Dwarf nods, "Aye, but don't let him hear ya callin' him a blacksmith. He's well above petty axles and pitchfork tines. He lives in the main hall. Turn right at the fourth column, then head straight on, up the ramp, then take a left."

*Goes to the main hall*
*turns right at the Fourth Column*
*Heads straight up*
*Goes up the ramp*
*Goes Left*
*Walks in front of the Shop*
*Opens the door*
Anyone there? hello? I wish to see Garan.

The place is full of weapons and armor. Mail shirts on hangers, scale and plate armor on racks. Shields hang on the walls. Swords - short, long, bastard, great - spears, bows, daggers, morning stars, and numerous styles, shapes, and sizes of axes and hammers. In front of you is a large oaken countertop, with papers on it.

You suddenly wonder why the hell you are talking to air.

((Stop making assumptions. Did I say there was a guy?))

From the back room comes a clang, then a black-bearded Dwarf with streaks of gray in his hair and beard comes out. He walks up to the counter, appraises you, and asks, "What do you want?"

I know you are one of the best smiths in this age, and I wish to know
the ancient art of Smithing, but I only wish to learn from the best, No less
and, I need to be a Smith, What would be your requirements to be a smith,
Just wish to know, and Do not Say just because I am Not a dwarf, That I cannot
be a Smith, For Elves, are also powerful smiths, but the Greatest are the dwarfs
who I want to Learn from.
