anyone else notice that there's always at least one guy making some sort of RP story thing in chat I feel this should be against rules because well it's just annoying to hear a guy talk about something that has nothing to do with the map
 
What do you actually define with 'RP'? People quoting lotr? People acting like they would be real soldiers? People roleplaying as unique characters like Thu did?
 
it is so annoying when people dont use punctuation or capitalization and go on and on in a large run-on that never ends i think it should be against the rules too but then people would whine because some people dont like punctuation or capitalization and prefer to talk like how im talking right now

Where's the problem with that? Battle tactics are actually one of the best ways to win a battle alongside your team. As long as people are actually FOLLOWING the orders and the orders are of any use (and not something like "kill them" :D), there's nothing problematic about it. r3cry and me do a lot of commanding on Erebor, I give commands and he repeats them to everyone (since we almost always play together). No one ever complains, and our tactics kept the orcs from capturing a single flag or even entering the mountain (and there were lots of trolls). So if people like us get on your nerves, just ignore the messages or turn off your chat.
 
If you give non obvious and good tactic orders, ok. IF YOU KEEP SHOUTING OBVIOUS OR BRINGING TO DEATH ORDERS OR SHOUT LOTR QUOTES CONSTANTLY IN SPAM WITH CAPS IT'S NOT GOOOOOOOD! And yes, the Caps lock had to be used.
 
As long as they don't offend anyone, there is no reason to silent someone. And to silent someone without reason is simply said against one of the most important fundamental laws of all, Freedom of Speech.

So no thanks, even though I don't like people saying such lines.
 
I checked on one of the voting links, and it says the server is roleplaying. if so, why arent people allowed to in game?
 
and btw, i Think you could add a /ignore command for msg if someone is spamming you, and if it was to local chat too, the /ignore would only work for the player who uses it, he cant see the spam (of that person) (and the person who uses it can toggle it)
