Event Idea

Creative Pvp:Creative Pvp:

Basic:
-2 to 4 teams
-10 minutes of creative mode to build
-After 10 minutes, everyone must fight to the death
-Last team standing wins

Rules:
-No enchantments in gm1
-No betraying your team
-No using creative mode to spawn in gear
-No using bedrock or obsidian
-No tnt or water builds

Build Time:
-build anything you want using creative mode (forts, walls, etc.)
-no spawning in gear or tools during this time

Pvp:
-each person is given a class with gear they use to pvp
-during this time players may fight other teams to the death

Gear:
-basic is iron gear with iron weapons/tools
-better gear can be obtained through donating or using points
-bows are provided for all
*gear could also possibly be classes from the server

End:
-Winners of the game receive points as reward

Hope you guys think this is a good idea and look to implement it.
 
Can quickly lead to random tnt lsva and water everywhere or make a build too op using holes in ground or t h i c c walls or Hiiigh builds or everything at the same time :/
 
Like Lime said, it wouldn't take much for the event to get out of hand. I could however see something similar be used but in survival mode, on a custom map.
 
What assassiniv just said. I love the idea of building then fighting, but you can fix sooo many balance issues just by giving players a set amount and type of blocks. They can still be creative, because they will be able to make crafting tables and repurpose wood etc., but things like gigantic 1-block dirt towers or lava/water/obsidian won't happen without the need for coding a lot of restrictions.

Also, IMO any new gamemode like this or a return of LMS needs to be on the main server. The community is too small to split between servers, and it would increase hosting costs/server load. IMO just add new gamemodes to the main server, but make voting more acessible, so that people can still skip them if they want to.
 
This would lead to having big square buildings or skybases, instead of actual fortifications and castles that are fun to fight around. I think it would be better to either limit the players to a premade fort, or give them set materials in order to at least keep it a bit normal looking.

maybe just make a half ruined castles and materials to repair them.
(maybe also add catapults or explosives to destroy walls)
