There are ways to combat bowspam. Circle around enemy if its only a few guys bowspamming, and hit them from behind hopefully, or bring in your own archers and snipers if you cant[/quote]

I've seen people transition between bowspam and long range on multiple occasions: Moria halls/gold, Tirith basically any map except Osgiliath due to limited arrows (Good idea btw)
 
honestly archers only ever OP if you can find a place where it's hard for them to hit you but you can hit them in close quarters as annoying as it is it takes time to master bow spam
 
Anyone can bow-spam. Sniping is an art. I've gotten hundreds more kills sniping than I ever could have with bow-spam.
 
Archer IS OP!

Archer enables u to kill anybody and anything without taking damage, so if ure playing smart and know how to snipe or bowspam, u can farm kill easily.

Thats wrong! sniping is nothing more than camping somewhere and trying to figure out how to hold your bow to hit enemies, whereas bowspamming really needs some smart tactic, experience and skill.

Who needs the British Navy when you can have 10,000 archers firing a massive volley of horses on a open field against a Japanese Banzi Charge?
 
Playing archer requires skill but they are so strong in this server that every noob can do it. Give bows power 1 or 0 and it will be fine. It will also make the battles more fun because there will finally be way more swordsmen then archers.
 
bowspam still needs skill!

and if ure a good sniper, u aint doing more that far-distance-bowspam. (at least im doin so, and i wouldnt say im a bad archer)
 
Sniping is an art. You must aim perfectly. Bowspam is just repeatedly clicking while facing someone.
 
I'm not sure if you guys realise this or not, but you can't quite bowspam on EW. I've killed noob archers because when I get close they try to bowspam and fail. You still have to draw the bow back a certain amount for an arrow to fire.

I'd say limit the arrows to 50. It was done to Osgiliath and I think it works perfectly. All that needs to be done is add a few more restock chests here and there.

This is starting to actually get funny, bowspamming in one of the simplest forms of archery I've ever seen. It's easy and requires very little skill whatsoever which is why many people do it. It's efficient in some cases aside from the fact it can easily get you killed by soldiers and/or enemy snipers :P
 
I'm not sure what you guys define bow spamming as, but I believe it's when the archer is shooting arrows off at 3-4 per seconds, and its effective range is only 2-3 blocks. On EW it's not actually possible to do that. I've been accused of bow spamming several times, even though I'm firing off crit arrows (fully charged arrows). If you define bow as to consecutively hitting an incoming target at a short range, that takes skill. Sniping also takes a lot of skill, adjusting for the range, and if the target is moving, adjusting for the time it takes for the arrow to hit the target.

Before we argue about this any further, I suggest we define what bow spamming is, that way we 100% what we are talking about. As of now, we could be talking about different things and we wouldn't even know it.

I think u aint getting my point: u really need some skill to stay alive bowspamming, sure anybody can fire some arrows very quickly but were talking about succesfull bowspamming, not just dropping some arrows and dying anyways!
If theres a troll 5 blocks away from you and tries to kill you, u cant tell me any noob would survive this situation! Here, u really need to be a good archer, otherwise ure dead wirhin seconds!

And as u might know, maany people think i got hacks, yes, theres even a hacker report about me, just because of my bowspamming. So dont tell me bowspam can be mastered by any noob!

For me, bowspamming means shooting arrows at a close enemy with a pretty high frequence i order to push him back and kill him before he reaches you. Just dropping some arrows 3 blocks far can only be of use if u got a punch 2 bow and your enemie player is already very close to you.
