Games Nights

Whether EW is dying or not is another matter but whether we want more players is something we can all agree on. We want players to come together and play full epic battles rather than 5v5's happening constantly with people hopping on and off. This is where I hold a solution. Games Nights.

The concept is as simple as sjoertim posting on the EW discord when the next game night will be. A 'Game Night' won't be anything special, all that will happen is people will think 'everyone else shall be online (because it is a game night) so it is a good time for me to be online' making them go online thus getting more players online at once.

This does work on many other smaller sized Minecraft servers that I play on which leads me to believe that it shall have the same effect on this server too and just imagine what it would be like if once or twice a week we could get 30+ players online for a couple of hours.

Being relatively new to the server (only a little over a year) I do not know whether this suggestion has been made before or whether it has been used before so please do let me know if this has been a flop in the past. Having said that, I hope that you will back me up with this small change which could potentially make a big difference as it literally is as simple as sjoertim posting in announcement channel when it shall be. Thank you for reading this and please fill out the additional poll if you would spare the time to do so.

I understand that this is a thing but this is slightly different as instead of a big schedule that everyone individually signs up to every week (which I think kind of stopped last month) people would instead see when the next games night is and just pop on. The problem with the schedule is that it doesn't really improve the player count all too much because it's everyday and it's just of when normally people would come online whereas this is a 'special event' that requires less organising and more results. Thank you for replying with your thoughts though.

It's actually to show other people that players will actually come, therefore prooving a bit the point by giving a reason

I understand what you mean here, but this is what we're already trying to do when we have events and mention @everyone in the discord. We also test new maps during this time and occasionally have double boosters.

This is a good idea though, and if we don't have any updates or events planned, this could be a good alternative.

This is actually a really good idea, especially when its later in the day for Americans when most people hope off and no one joins because no one is on and playing. Even if people don't know its game night they will see that people are playing and they will join.
