Greatest Kingdom.

In school, I find that some classes are boring for me. But there is one class that always interests me. History class. I learn about great kingdoms and countries that aren't around today but thousands of years ago. That's why I decided to make this poll. I wonder what was the greatest kingdom in the world. But I think Empirewar should decide which kingdom was the greatest. Vote on which kingdom you think is the best and see if you are correct! This pole will end at the end of August so may the greatest kingdom WIN!

Also please comment why which kingdom was greater than the other, who knows maybe others will take your opinion!
 
have to say Sparta, as they are proud when it comes to dying in battle, also they are ruthless lil Beasts :P
 
I was always a fan of the Greeks, but more in the Athenian Knowledge and Architecture angle rather than the warfare... but Sparta is pretty cool.
 
Well who won Sparta or the Persians.Well the persians duh because spartans have little strategy compared to the persians.That is why the persians are the best.Its all just because you all love the movie 300.
 
Sparta is the best kingdom because of the battle of Thermopylae ans the rest of the Greco-persian wars at thermopylae the 300 Spartans held against more then 5000 Persians and for the rest of the greco-persian wars well they lead the Greek armies most of the time.Glory Dicipline Conquest my idea of 1 spartan motto.(they also never feared dieing)
 
sparta was a city not a kingdom..... and the answer is rome because rome conquered sparta and greece entirely as well as countless other countries and had some of the most revolutionary buildings of the time
 
the reason Rome conquered Sparta was cause it was weakened fighting other Greek states and that weakened them economically and weakened their military nuff said
 
Gaul is not a Kingdom, it was a collection barbarian tribes, the only times they would ever all gather together would be to attack Romans. As the Romans destroyed them, repeatedly they should be out of the running. Rome was a kingdom for about 15 minutes till they became a republic then an Empire. With the most efficient military in the ancient world they have my vote.
 
I voted Rome. Sparta was not a kingdom, just a city state that was constantly at war with it's Greek counterparts. Although their soldiers were formidable, greatness was never truly in the hands of Spartans. Gaul was, as Everybody said, a band of tribes. They were barbaric, and fairly unorganized. Very little glory is found in their history. Persia was once glorious, and remained that way for many years, with a huge amount of land under it's control; however, it was taken down (almost completely) by an upstart empire that had a better army and central leadership: Rome. Rome was a power truly great, and it remained that way for centuries. Yes, it did eventually fall, but that was due to overexpansion, some poor leaders, and too many enemies converging upon it at once. I stand by Rome.
