There's been some discussions about melee attacks being weaker than ranged (compared to how they should be), and I feel like this is a good point.
My primary idea would be giving sharpness to every class' melee weapon if they voted. This would only make melee stronger for about 40% of the players, and not increase archery (but still help archers by giving a wooden sword of sharp 1 to them)
My secondary idea, is adding 1 heart to every hit done by a melee attack.
This means directly by weapon, and with a tool that isn't hand, bow, ladder or blocks.
This wouldn't help archers, and still make all melee classes a bit stronger.
A problem with this is that players don't actually see it, and may think attacks do more damage than they should do and accuse people of hacking. (As normal damage doesn't add that heart)
