Is EW dying?

I don't know... Whenever I've checked the server for the last few months it's always been empty, no more than 5 people on at the time. Maybe I've just been checking at the wrong times.
Also there's been a bit of a drought in updates; there hasn't been one since April.
Forum seems to be inactive too.
what do you guys think?
 
According to donations, it's still alive. However, you probably do notice a certain inactivity on forums and server itself.
 
The forums have been inactive for many years. I know there has been a drought in updates but we're about to start work on our biggest update yet.

While the server has left players nowdays, you have been checking at the wrong times, we can still reach 30+.
 
We, the staff haven't been active. Tim has been inactive. This means updates have been lacking. A lack of updates means a lack of players, and when people aren't on people don't join.

i.e: When Olex and I go on to design new classes, people join and we get 20+.

Tim is getting back from holiday next weekend, and has said he'll start putting work into the server again. This includes adding two new maps, new classes, and some new mechanics. Our playerbase is still here - it just doesn't play due to lack of content. These updates should fix that.

Also, as Lime says. EW won't die as long as it's funded. We got 100 euro this month, and have enough in reserve to last about 5 months *earning no money*. This won't happen - just putting it in perspective. We are in no financial danger.
 
Just saying, donations are not the only thing that fuels a server, players do too. if there is enough for 5 months, but there are no players on in 5 months, the server is still dead.
 
Someone has to be donating that money though...

There can be no donations if there are no players.

Luckily, as I aptly explained, this situation has reasons and a solution. So I am not worrying about a thing.
 
In my opinion as long as people join the server EW won't die. The player base is there, it just needs motivation to join. What I mean is as long as there are people willing to join the server with 0 people on to get the ball rolling EW will be safe.

For example if there are 0 people on no one will join, but if there are 8 people on people will join. The reason they join is because they know they will be able to play, so when there are 0 people on there is no motivation for them to join and play because it will be boring.
