Lineair maps or random

So I was curious what kind of maps you guys like. Lineair or random.
Random is like Osgiliath after the bridge.
Lineair is like Minas tirith, An army pushing to 1 flag.

Please vote on the poll! ^-^

We once had random on Tirith. Some noob went to the Tree, capped it, and we won. Easiest MVP ever.

I like Linear on some maps, like Helm's, but having it on maps like Zomo's version of the Black Gate would be cool. We could have bigger battles, as all the teams are focused on one point.

Ye, depends on the map but I tend to prefer linear* ones (except Laketown, which I like a lot ;3)

I generally like Linear battles best, as it makes the battles feel "bigger", due to large amounts of players focusing on one objective. Also it makes it feel more like a real siege, as it is harder to defend with random capture orders.

Sometimes it´s nice to go on your own, and do your own things, but maps like osgiliath usually turn into a clusterfck and a big mess without anything happening.

Random ones are better. The problem is that we don't have the players for it right now.
On lineair battles you just run in, die, respawn, run in, die, respawn, etc, because there's so many players in one spot that it gets too crowded to actually be possible for players to fight, whilst in random battles people spread out over the map.

Then explain how most people enjoy maps like Moria/Helms :P you made isengard so random, it usually takes 5 minutes to find an enemy after the broken wall with the playerbase we have now.

tim please, how many times do me and others have to tell you this...
the vast majority of players prefer linear maps, because it's an actual siege that way.
random maps end up being FFA fighting and standing at a flag for over 6 minutes straight because u can barely capture them solo.
