Lossarnach class ideas

Lossarnach could use more classes, so here are a few of my ideas.

Men of Lossarnach
Inspector from Tirith

Basically it's an officier of Minas Tirith, Could possibly wear:

(POSSIBLY) Citadel Guard helm OR a new helm by zoom.
Chain chestplate
Chain leggins (or no leggins at all)
Iron boots

and have as weapon a basic iron sword. Effects would be Speed 1 (only when in a fight).
As you might have heard in my previous class suggestion, im kinda bad at Armour & effects so suggest alternatives if they are needed.

Lossarnach tomahawk

throws axes like axethrower, but the axes are they deal less damage however the class user has more axes in stock

I guess everything else can be same as Moria axethrower. I can understand if you say that there isn't much difference, but it still can differ due to the first point I wrote there.

Lossarnach Lancer
This one could be special: It would have

Chain chestplate
Iron leggins
leather boots (that are only here as deco)

Weapons:
A lance with a bigger reach (sadly will have to use arrows like you already do for some classes) with some effects, to have it hit like a stone sword that has sharpness
1 spear in the other hand

Well I really don't know how to make that class work but I hope you understood my idea.

Lossarnach Hoop thrower
This class would bring a whole new mechanic:

Retexture Ender pearls into 3D hoops with flames (if flames possible)
This will require to remove the Default minecraft ender pearl mechanic to not allow TPs atleast for that use.

Armour:
Leather tunic (can use a color)
Iron Leggins
Iron boots

Weapons: 4 hoops (cooldown between throw ~2 seconds)

How would that work: When the class user throws the hoop, if it hits an enemy then it gives him some damage AND burns the victim for a short time (like mage)

Invaders from Umbar (or corsairs for normies)

Umbarian Ballista installer
ok agreed... I didn't have ideas for the name so feel free to suggest.

It would have a sort-of trapped chest in the inventory which could be renamed to "Installation kit from ikea" which the class user can put down and it creates a mini ballista for 1-2 minutes. To create one it'd take like 10 seconds or so before using it. You won't be able to use a restock chest to get a new one though (or you could but taking like 15 seconds to get it). Would have to think though how would it look, what block/item or structure spawning... This might get 60% deny pretty sure.

Armour:
Leather tunic
Leather leggins
chain boots

Weapons:
wooden sword

Effects:
Resistance 1

Drunk pirate

This one is funny but could be a thing
Since he's drunk, here are his specialities:

Armour:
Chain chestplate
Leather leggins
iron boots

Weapons:
A Paddle (with sharpness that is equal to an iron sword without effects)

Effects: Strenght 1
can sometimes have speed boosts, other times not
RARELY nausa for a very short time (but if he has nausa, he has strength 2)

Umbarian Mercenary

Basic melee class. What could be special is that when he dies, he drops like a few gold nuggets which are POINTS (they are obviously NOT taken from the player's stats, they'd be auto generated) because since its mercenary, he's paid for his job so he drops his money if dies. The laying item can be picked up by anyone who picks it up (both teams)

Armour:
Iron chesplate
Chain leggins
leather boots (feather falling?)

Weapons:
Iron sword

Effects: none

I'm sorry for not respecting the format each time, I was just in a hurry while writing this...

Hooper is cool

Inspector is a cool concept but I don't think itll happen

tomahawk wont happen u cant nerf ax damage I don't think for an individual class.. can you?

lancer is like pike and not a lot of ppl use it its not that cool imo

corsairs.. all are good

Inspector would need a new name but is otherwise OK.
Lancer wouldn't work because people really don't like pikes.
Hooper sounds weird. Throwing flame hoops? Doesn't sound very realistic.

Ballista builder sounds cool, but would be hard to implement.
Drunk pirate.. ehh... seems like more of a joke than a proper class.
Tomahawk seems too annoying. Just spam throwing axes. Axethrower already has a lot and more would make it too much of a pain to fight.

Hoopthrower may not sound realistic, however I did take it off Age of Empires 3 (an RTS game). If you don't like the flames then just don't add flames. http://ageofempires.wikia.com/wiki/Hoop_Thrower

Drunk Pirate isn't a joke actually. It could clearly work out.

Also, you didn't comment Umbarian Mercenary, what do you think?

Flaming hoops were actually used in defences.
I remember reading about it, just not where.

Love drunk pirate idea, could probs model 3d or 2d paddle if tim wanted... But I support that class all the way.
Also, Minas Tirith inspector could be good, maybe give it a command horn that gives everyone on team boost of some type for like 5 sec due to 'inspiring' soldiers... but would probs only be one time use, & if that wouldn't work, probs because it too op, maybe give it a crossbow...

Definitely not in actual medieval history or in Middle-Earth.

Could work, but feels like it would be an easy point exploit, and wouldn't really have a pvp advantage other than it being useful for others to kill.

EDIT: While i didn't find my original source, i went to the AoE 3 Wiki page for the hoop thrower and found what i was looking for. Here is a segment about the real flaming hoops:

During the Siege of Malta in 1565, the defenders of Malta (the Knights of St. John) relied heavily on incendiary weapons, including ones called the "firework hoop." These weapons, made of gunpowder and wood, were used against advancing Janissaries as they attempted to storm Fort St. Elmo. The incendiary weapons were highly effective, forcing the Janissaries to fall back from their attack. Approximately 2,000 elite Janissaries were killed during the assault on Fort St. Elmo, while only about eighty of their enemy died. After the siege the Knights of St. John, also known as the Knights Hospitaller, controlled Malta until 1798.

While they didn't have gunpowder in ME, i'm sure there would be other ways of making similar hoops. I still don't think this would fit as a class though.

Okay so I may have found One of many possible ways to implement Ballista Installer:

Maybe it's hard to understand, but it could be explained specifically when you pick class for first time either in chat (only for the player) or title.

It would basically be able to place that trapped chest on Special blocks (maybe Outstanding clay blocks or a little structure in ground to like highlight 1 ground block) and once he places it, it says "Do not move while you install your ballista..." as a title again or right above inventory and after the cooldown I mentioned in the top post, a mini-ballista structure appears on that block. Do you see what I mean or need a better explanation?

What if mini Ballista (obviously weaker than regular ballista) was represented by two blocks- the red rails you right click to sit into and a turret (I forget what it is represented by). Essentially a ballista builder would get both things and a bit of constructor wood, and would get to build a little mini ballista. It would be the constructor's responsibility to correctly construct the ballista (rails connected to firing mechanism), and maybe even make it destroyable by the enemy so its not too op.

I like the idea of things to construct on and operate on the battlefield. EW has had machines to operate on battlefield - Engineer Turrets on Moria Gold, Windlances on Greathalls/Dale/Erebor, Ballistae on Lossarnach, catapults on Erebor. I'd like player-operated catapults back, but also things which you construct would be fun. In my view, turrets with either a powerful lance ability like windlance (but not so strong), or suppressing fire (like Gold turrets) would both work.

Hope this isn't getting too off-topic (someone can Moderate me :)).

We are discussing one of the classes that was suggested in this forum thread, so in my point of view we are perfectly in topic.

Explain why pls

Coz dat nibba is gonna buy drinks for all of his boddies when they are done capping this shithole for saving his ass
(and by so they will save money)

I think a mercenary would rather take money tho...

He is getting paid, he is getting drunk, his body here fought with em, he wants to be the coolest of them all so he buys them a drink.
