Today in Minas Tirth on the third flag, Gondor had two constructors. Every time we breached the gate they repaired it really quickly. They also had an annoying archer that would wait for us at the top of the stairs to shoot us. I tought of a few things that could be approved/changed on this flag to give Mordor a better fighting chance.
1. Up the wood cost to repair the gate.
2. Move the Mordor spawn closer.
3. More cover at the flag.
4. Add an extra path.
In depth:
1. Upping the wood cost to repair the gate will increase the time it takes and will give Mordor a better chance at capping the flag.
2. Currently Mordor has to walk up a pair of really long stairs while getting targeted by archers from above. Moving the spawns closer would mean they get where they need to be faster.
3. The only cover at the flag right now is the flag pole and a 1 block tall wall. Enemy archers can easily shoot anyone at the flag. Placing some debris or simply making the wall a block taller would greatly increase the capping capabilities of Mordor.
4. I think this really needs to be done, right now morder has to walk a pair of two long stairs to the gate while getting shot from above. Once they breach the gate they again have to walk up long stairs while getting targeted.
With the current spawn I have tought of two new possible paths:
First off there is a section of iron bars above the flag which can be removed and turned into a corridor that goes up to either the gate or the flag. It can even be turned into a sewer section and made to go up to toilets in the houses at the flag or a fountain, however turning this into a sewer section might not be the easy access path we seek to add. Right now only mages can get here but you can make it so Mordor can ladder up to here.
Second is the leaves which can be turned into an easy route for mages to get up to the gate.
