Osgiliath change thread

Please submit your ideas of changes to be made on the new beta map Osgiliath here ^^
Simply so we'll have all the complaints and changes in 1 thread. Also please play Osgiliath a few times before making a suggestion.
 
there is too much chaos right now on siege to reasonably speak to anyone. here is my opinion on the classes -

Citadel Guard - great idea but the Golden Helmet with prot 1 was forgotten to be added.

Ithlien Ranger - a bit op but good class.

Ithlien Melee - horrible class. The other class, Citadel, has the same weapon, but 4.5 more armor pts then it. I don't see why sjoerdtim even added it.

MORDOR -

Warg Rider - Great idea to get some use in that class, though maybe resistance would help it's weak armor and low damage. it relies on dogs that can get killed by 1 person xD

NAzgul - dont want to get into this again,

ORC CHIEFTAN - pretty decent class, worth the points. a bit more armor would be nice, since it is just a slightly buffed spearman right now.

Buff ithlien melee. It has 5 armor points and a slightly better weapon then the regular soldier, and horrible armor. On the other hand, citadel, with almost twice as good armor, has the same weapon. Even though ithlien has speed, it doesn't make sense for it to be so poorly armored. I say add resistance, or at least some buff that would change this weak class.
 
I think there should be these changes:

1. More flags.

2. Previous Eula veterans+ should get ithilien ranger.

3. No archers until the after the do e

4. Nerf evil a bit because gondor is to underpowered

5. Give ithilien melee buffs and/or better armor.

6. Remove zombies from the sewers.

I am considering re making the bridge spawns.
And ithilien Soldier is freaking op, idk why you think it's terrible. And if you compare it to Citadel guard then you're just oblivious and kinda stupid to be honest. Citadel guard is very op and made to only be accessible at royal places. Don't compare melee classes to Citadel Guard.

Uh I didn't say that, that was python. I had a 5 minute argument with him about how its op.....
 
Turn down some of your settings, thats what I had to do and if you really can't live with it change them all back afterwords
 
I know it's supposed to look like ruins but please fill in some of the holes, Potholes are banes of the reality, lets not make it virtual :)

Can you add implacable ladder to all inventories - they can be very useful, why wouldn't you give ladders?

Can you remove the damage in water, an archer can easily pick off those crossing the main river. Or at least (if possible) remove the damage effect when crossing the smaller tributaries (give a countdown before possible drowning idk? )

A actualy, hammerer, royal guard, dale, etc all have 3.5 better armor. Citadel just has more. The class sucks because they all share the same amount of damage on their weapon and the only difference is speed. Speed isnt that op. Give it more armor and resistance because right now your better of as regular soldier then it.

Actually there are bridges. Removing water damage would allow orcs to swim around without using boats. That would be just stupid.[/quote]
 
You know why people think Nazgul needs a buff? Because they don't know how to switch play style properly. Mobility boosts are super freaking op compared to armour boosts, atleast for me. But perhaps for people who loves brawling into fights for a dazzling suicide, mobility boosts isn't a very good option.

You are right, mobility boots are extremely powerful, especially if you would use them well. But Naz-gul kind of loses the mobility once it picks someone up. If other players around the player who got grabbed would react fast, they would be able to put out tons of damage within a short period (But hey, they shouldn't jump into groups, but some still do that for some reason). Also, the mobility bonus it has isn't useful when the player you grabbed can hit you when you pick him up.
