I had an idea to help new players get classes faster, which is point loans. Basically, post a comment requesting a loan, and if you have interest in sponsoring it, reply and work out an amount to be given and one to be paid back. If some one does not pay back their loans at all, than please comment with their name. And thank you theberserker for the 500 points! You didn't specify an amount to pay back beyond the said amount, but with my best speed I shall pay back 520!

Ermm... I don't think that this will work out very well. Alts may take it and secretly give it to the main. There are no rules guarding the points, or punishing thieves. Too many holes in the plan.

I agree with andrew. If we were all decent to each other and just were honest I think a lot of issues in this world would be solved...

Do all those noobs that are always begging for points ring a bell? I doubt they'd pay you back.
 
What Ajroets said, there are many people who are new to the server and have nothing to lose would gladly run off with 100 points or whatever. I doubt this would happen for obvious reasons, but lets say I loan Ajroets 1 point, and he refuses to pay me back the point. Well he is well known on the server, so he has a reputation at stake if I say he scammed. "Unknown" players are a higher risk loan, but you can work out a higher return as well. To address the point of alts, that is something I hadn't thought of. How ever, I don't think there are a ton of people with alts, and once one does this there are no more loans for him.

This is a high risk enterprise, I would recommend you not loan out more than 100 points to a person, although I again thank theberserker for his trust in me, unfortunately I had to leave right before I could buy dwarf hammerer on Moria halls then play it there and on gold!
 
A plugin would be nice, but we have to have Empire War use it. I don't think that will happen quickly, but we should ask them. If it just Automatically took your points until the loan was paid off, then that would work well.
 
@Mr_Cookie_Smurf, Thanks so much if you actually do that! I don't have money to donate, but I would gladly pay you some points to fund that project once I have paid back theberserker!

I don't need the points, and I can't donate, so that ends there.
 
Orrrrr.... You could all just do this anyway? /pay is accessible, no need for an entire new plugin.
 
They point of the plugin is to safeguard against stealing points via loans.Basically, some one could send you a loan agreement, with amount to be given to the recipient and an amount to be paid back, and if you accept it then after 24 hours any points earned would be paid to the person giving the loan until the debt was paid off. But if some one is a jerk and after he is sent a loan does not pay it back, there is nothing to make him pay it back unless you have a plugin like that. This means that only well known players are likely to get loans for now.
 
Well don't do loans then. If it means that people will steal money then don't give out loans.
 
I have probably loaned like 2500 points away, but I dont really care that noone pays me back. Points are easy to get!

I'd second that. We could have a fund where we pay donators. This is EULA friendly, if I'm not mistaken, because the server isn't rewarding them, the players are. Maybe a 1 euro to 200 points ratio. No past donators get rewarded, only new ones.
