Points Happy Hour

The main problem right now is, glaringly, the fact that nobody wants to join an empty server. When people do join, the servers gains some momentum and more people join, etc. We've all seen this.

So the questions remains: how to get people on?

I suggest a weekly/daily 'happy hour' where people get double points for playing. The idea is that this will (hopefully) incentivize players to hop on even if there's no one/few people around (maybe people will just go on to grab some capping points even). Once enough people do join, the server gains traction and by the end of the happy hour, there's enough people so that the server will remain full even if points are no longer doubled.

As an addition: Problem here is of course a point creep. It's already inevitable in the current situation, but this would accelerate the process. Once a lot of people have unlocked every point class, this method will become ineffective, and there will be less incentive to play in general. Easy solution would be to increase the price of point classes, but surely a lot of people will not be happy with that.

i love the idea! :3
what about adding once a week for an hour a week on Friday/Saturday one random donor class being free 2 play to a) advertise the donor class and b) add to the happy hour.

also all this stuff can go once its summertime and we regularly hit like 20 or something but until then i feel that some sort of happy hour idea could go a long way to benefit the server.
