Remove -1 Silver for Dying

The reason why we added back the -1 silver upon death for v3 is to discourage the playstyle of just rushing in and dying over and over again. We tried to balance this change out by making it easier to obtain silver altogether through capturing/achievements/vote streaks, but maybe that is not enough(?). Would it fix your problem if we made it (even more) easier to obtain silver?
 
I think he means it’s discouraging players who are giving their best. I get the reasoning behind the -1 point but it also propels players to play like pussies; even i’m guilty of this. It doesn’t help that most work into getting heroes come from playing safe to farm kills instead of capturing.

I think showing it’s easier to get silver instead of making it easier will tell players they are still gaining, but if either case leads to more confident players. that would mean they are more likely to rush in and die anyways.

this is a tough situation. I think it all comes down to deciding what kind of play style the server will reward to the community
 
We want to encourage good play while discouraging needless ticket (Lives) loss. It is good to pull back in fights sometimes to heal up, but the fear of losing progress (Heroes and Killstreaks) can make some reluctant to play in a way others would prefer them. I think the best way to address this issue is to find another similar game (Like Star Wars Battlefront, etc.) and look for a system that has what we want. This way we can see it in practice before work is invested in changing the system.
 
losing 1 silver upon my death doesn't discourage me into charging into the fray, often I find its worth the life cost, to hold a point with bodies.

Honestly, I did not even know that was the reason for the -1 silver and I also just charge in most of the time.

Maybe a respawn cooldown or getting regeneration when not damaged for a couple of seconds outside would discourage it more? Usually I find it is faster to die and respawn then to fall back and heal, which is why I just decide to die as soon as I am low health instead of staying back for a while.
