Spotting Hackers

With hacking still frequent on EW, here's a bit of help at noticing the hackers.

KillAura (ForceFeild):
-Although the hacker is facing the other way, he knows the second he can hit you and turns perfectly facing you
-Hits are perfectly choreographed and sequenced, in binary might be like "10101010101010101010101", whereas normally, it'd be like "0101110100100100101001"
-Occasionally does derp head movements, looking from person to person
-Even if running away, still fights for some reason

BowAimbot:
-Constantly fights from looking directly at players, even if on their team
-Doesn't shoot too high or low, but within a block or two from players the first try

Crits:
-Particles fly from you with every hit, although the hacker is not falling

That says a bit, but first-hand experience is worth more than any written tutorial can ever be.

The problem is, is if you DO experience it first hand and ignore it or don't know it was hacks, then that does no good.
You've got to spot them, experience them, find them, then report them.

Easiest way to notice hackers is when people like MD, Anzra, and formerly Wixxi die repeatedly from some dude we've never heard of XD

I'll ask Crazy_Monkey_XII what hacks he used so I can make an example video

Of course, you wont know if it's hacks unless you have seen someone else with these hacks first. But once you've seen your first, the best way to improve at spotting them is by watching people hack or hack yourself.

Good guide, I hope many more people will start reporting hackers so we can clean the server up.

ok thanks just add it to the "rules" page to read the forum rules. I didn't even know about the new forum rules lel.

It's worth mentioning that AntiKnockback may be client-side lag. This is ESPECIALLY likely when the player isn't moving, as if he would be suffering from severe lag or a crash.

There is no real way to detect crit hacks visually, since, IIRC, crit hacks basically work so that the player moves a tiny bit up and "falls" down again to get crits. This tiny distance they move can't be seen. The only way to detect this without special plugins (which I don't even know if they exist) is to watch them fight and have damage indicators, so you can see the amount of damage they deal.

And, though it doesn't really matter, KillAura is usually a thing that hits around you when you hit, while forcefield is more often connected with auto-hit. But that depends on the hack client, mostly.

As a normal player, I've experienced two different kinds of forcefield.

One of them makes the player turn really quick to the closest person and auto-hits him. I tested that one, and the player has the head that turns automatically.

The second one, I didn't test it. I experienced it 5-6 times as nazgul, when I pick up someone and that person can just hit you 200 times in 3 seconds, sometimes even without swinging his sword once. Those are the hardest to notice, as you don't really know where the hits come from if you're in a big melee. As nazgul, it's really easy though.

As for the Crits hack, I'd say it's pretty easy to notice if someone always hits you hard enough to have the stars around you, without jumping.
