High into the misty mountains and deep within the halls of Moria, a battle rages on as the goblins have broken into the mines. Us dwarves have held their attacks at Great Delving. But this was not to last. The goblins have increased in reinforcements and have cornered our regiments by climbing the ceilings to cut us off. Our forces were pushed back and this has given the goblins the position at Great Delving. The malevolent leader, Lord_Sauron_ , guides the forces of goblins. He brutally beats dwarves with his mace and has his goblins throw us over the cliff side of our own structures. Despite with the overwhelming forces, we dwarves still went fighting strong with every breath we had. Yet we have called for help to Erebor.
I NiteRogue a dwarf warrior, also skilled in the arts of the bow, have taken command of the dwarven archer corps. My command covers the frontal assault and also stationed at the rear of the company. We've taken advantage of the stair bridges as they provide a good kill zone for our archers to knock back goblins to fall and plummet to their deaths. One by one they fell into the fire and one by one their numbers dwindled. As it may seem that we are able to have held them off, a number of goblin archers have come to cover the advancing forces. They've pinpointed our positions and fired waves of arrows. Many of our archers were caught off guard and fell to the counter attack. We pulled back for much could not be helped. Soon they have taken the stair bridges, the archer corps repositioned behind the defending dwarven warriors that cover the entrance from the stairs to the Great Halls. This is where most of our forces stand. The task was simply to hold off and push back the goblins. But given the fact that we have forgotten that they were able to scale walls and ceilings. The goblins came from the front and from the top. We were outsmarted.
We had archers firing at the ceilings and towards the front. All of the sudden the the frontline warriors were struck by a strong swing. Wa-pow!!! Lord_Sauron_ was at the front and he broke our defensive line like a toothpick. With every swing dwarves went flying into columns and into our own company. From here the outcome was obvious. Our forces quickly fell apart and scattered. We ran from the Great Halls and at the end we were pushed all the way back to the bridge of Khazad Dum. We ran but still we fought as well. But it was not worth the energy. From this moment we had no king. We were leaderless. Our kin cut down like trees, we were hopelessly out numbered and lost most of what we gained. We literally fell apart.
Lord_Sauron_ stands before us and makes himself present before we were to be finished off. "Send them off to their deaths." He said. We were only of a force of 800 against probably of 8,000. There again, out nowhere a battle horn was sounded into the deep. It came from behind. An army of dwarves from Erebor, 7,000 strong standing firm with their King of the Lonely Mountain, sjoerdtim! He cried out in a loud voice, "Lord_Sauron_, you will go no further with these dwarves as well within these halls!" Lord_Sauron_ took a step back in shock. Sjoerdtim cried out as the battle horns blew, "Du...Be...karrr!" The dwarves of Erebor ran forward yelling out after their king, "Du Bekar!!!" My company of dwarves with archers and warriors alike, stood fast and regained their confidence and strength. We rejoined ranks and charged on with the others.
Cutting all goblins who stand and shooting all goblins who creep, we fought like we never have before. They fell and their numbers dwindled dramatically and we were on a verge of victory. We pushed them back towards deep into the mountains from whence they came. We raged on and I stopped to listen, listening to the crowd of a victorious roar of our soldiers. Aaahhhhhhhh!!! Victory was ours and Moria was regained. Had I thought, we would have never won without the response from Erebor. Sjoerdtim fought with Lord_Sauron_ and managed to sever one of his limbs that Lord_Sauron_ was pulled back by his followers of the dark. (No one knows if he perished or not) Had I not seen any king like him. He fought without fear. Strongly commanded his troops to victory. Regained the ancient city of the dwarves. A king like him. There is one who I can look up to. There is one who I can call.....Owner!
Continuation side-story:
Lord_Sauron_ was taken from the battle. None know of his survival or death. But unfortunately he survived, and he plans to take revenge upon the dwarves, especially on sjoerdtim. The time will come again when Lord_Sauron_ returns from his wounds and plans for the complete destruction of the dwarven existence.
