This is a complaint thread.
I just posted on Weby's ban appeal. What I posted explains why Weby was rude, why some of us, who work twice as hard as the staff, are frustrated with the staff doing little to make the work easier for us. We're playing on a good server, a server that we like, and we just want it to become a better place, without hackers, and we work hours almost every day to try to stop the ever growing stream of hackers.
When Weby said what he said to Farmer, he was rude, yea, he was disrespectful, but as I explained, you really shouldn't be blaming us for being pissed at the way this server is maintained. It has to change, the server would be swarming with hackers if it wasn't for players in the community who wants to help. That's just not a good way to maintain a server, you can't rely on having other people doing your job all the time.
So I explained perfectly well why we're especially frustrated. And I get banned. Yes, for five hours only, not really a big deal, actually nothing to give a shit about if you consider how much time I've spent on the server. But, like seriously, the reason I was banned! I was defending another player, without being offensive towards anyone, without using any form of profanity, even with apologizing for posting on a ban appeal. And you ban me? Yes, you have your fancy rules and stuff, but use common sense, FFS. I was defending another player with logical arguments, and you go on banning me for doing so. I broke the rules, yes, but who cares? I was showing you our perspective of it, on a post where it very much mattered. If anything, such behaviour should be encouraged, not punished with a ban.
You staff really need to listen to the players on this matter, you need to get down to business and start catching hackers yourselves, you need to maintain the server.
And well, OK, I was banned. But you even fucking removed the post. The post which was worth enough for me to risk a ban for. What I said needed to be said, right where it was.
Titan, you're being nothing than a puppet to the rules at the moment, start using common sense alongside with them, really. Also, you have crap methods for dealing with arguments, and it is REALLY poor of you, and I mean really fucking poor, to so disrespectfully, again, it's damn bullshit of you to do so, ban me without even explaining why, when I am there, ready to listen, ready to explain to you why, ready to accept my punishment in case of it, ready to argue against your acting.
You're being overall bad staff from my perspective. You have this box of rules which no one can take a step out of without getting a ban, and really bad methods for dealing with problems. Constantly locking threads is one of those, it's just a dick move to remove our ability to reason against other staff.
Good staff should follow rules, but still be dynamic when enforcing them, not just see if a player does something and ban him for that, but to actually see if it can be resolved in another way.
There has to be an important discussion on matters concerning hackers, staff and players, and what I said was a small but important part of it.

And, though I see why Farmer took this as an insult, it's kinda annoying when the server is swarming with hackers and the majority of the staff doesn't do anything about it. I get that people have other stuff to do than play MC 24/7, and I appreciate the work some of the staff does to moderate the server, Titan for keeping an eye on the chat mainly, though, I don't think more can be asked of him with his bad connection, and Lju actually flying around looking for hackers, and taking tips from players.
I also get that the inactive staff either lacks time or interest in doing it, and I very much respect that, there are more important things to do in life than moderating MC servers.
But we have hackers, and some of us spend hours of our time every day trying to spot, record and report them.
And you've used "We have enough staff, though not everyone are active now" as an argument to not add more staff.
So from a certain perspective, they're sitting AFK on a limited amount of chairs that would very much help us improving the server by ridding it from hackers.
Note that I don't blame you, inactive staff.
