Warriors of the Dawn Part 2

So, firstly I moved this saga to the stories section where it really belongs. Secondly, I kinda got out of hand here. I created a lot of lore, but he did say this was an alternate universe.. I hope you enjoy the story, even if it is not with your canon to date. I try to explain it as best I can.
Oh and sorry for the blatant name steal, I couldn't think of anything at the time.

Meanwhile…
Beepbobit had been riding for two days. He stopped by in Edoras after crossing the White Mountains, calling all the men he could from the city and the countryside to join sjoerdtim’s forces for a stand at Minas Tirith. Next he rode to Gap of Rohan, recruiting the hillmen with offers of gold, food, and greater lands guaranteed by the Archon Hents. Yet, even these men were not enough. Beepbobit knew there was only one place left to go.
After camping a night at the gates of Moria (ok maybe more than 2 days of riding), beepbobit began to ride into the pass of Caradhras, however before reaching the great mountain, he turned off to the north. The pass became rougher, with greater snow, jagged rocks, and narrow, cliff climbing passes. He even had to leave his horse behind to fend for itself, and continue on foot, however after what seemed like an eternity, the pass went through a tunnel in a cliff, and came out into a valley. Alongside the path calmly trickled a stream, winding down along it into the depths of a green valley. Dark Forests of tall Sequoia trees lay ahead of him, beyond them rolling hills of green grass and golden crops, beyond that the jagged hills of the Misty Mountains continued like the wall of an enclosure. In the center of the valley sat glimmering blue lake, flowed into by rivers from the four corners of the valley. It was the vale of Gilneas, the Forests of the Setting Sun, Beepbobit’s homeland.
After a short walk down the hill, Beepbobit reached a small farm, complemented with a turning water wheel. There he borrowed a horse from the farmers and made his way to the Capital City. The architecture was extraordinary; if anything it was Elvish, but different, for Gilneas had been cut off from the outside world since the Rise of Elendil. Originally, the Gilnean people had lived in Western Gondor, but as Elendil and Isildur revolutionized the Gondorian Culture, they decided to flee and find reclusion. Their greatest king, Tobias Mistmantle, had led his people from Gondor, over the white and misty mountains into the Valley where they lived now. The resources of the valley were few, so for ages the kingdom had required minimal children per family, in order to keep the population within the reach of their resources. Most Gilneans were farmers, miners, hunters or lumberjacks, working off the land, but some lived in Gilneas City, upon the plateau at the far end of the valley. There were scholars, crafters, blacksmiths and woodcutters. Those who felt their calling outside of the vale often became traders or adventurers. Gilnean traders also often left the valley to trade their goods, including objects of the rare wood of the Forests, especially Gilnean Longbows, luscious silk cloths from the Giant Silkworms of the Forest, and also their famous Gilnean Lamps, which were valued by aristocrats throughout the world. Though traders often left the vale, it was unheard of for anyone to enter the valley who was not of Gilnean Descent; this could do with the fact that no one knew the way other than Gilnean citizens.
Though the Gilnean people were not fighters by nature, they sometimes came together to fight against invaders. Their skill with bows rivaled Elves themselves; their longbows were able to reach greater distances and strike with greater power. The typical Gilnean soldier, serving in the protection of the city and king, carried a bow, along with a polearm or longsword. They wore chainmail armor, but focussed more on offense than defense. Beepbobit was once one of them, before he left the vale to become a bard in the outside world. Interestingly enough, the Gilnean Army accepted both Male and Female soldiers, unlike that of Gondor or Rohan, though this was on account of the low population of Gilneas which made it a necessity. Beepbobit passed several of these guards as he entered the city. Each one glanced his way before nodding and walking away. Beepbobit soon reached the King’s Palace, where he followed a royal guardsman to the king’s throneroom.
The room was dark, lit only by lamps in the corners. Great columns rose up along the center aisle, lining it like an avenue to the king’s throne. Alongside the columns were carvings of the line of kings. Upon entering the room, one could quickly see that it was based on the throne room of Minas Tirith. On a dark, iron throne sat the king, Jeremiah Mistmantle, a descendant of the Gilnean’s first king.
“Beepbobit the Bard! What brings you to my hall! It has been some time since you have returned to your homeland, but I sense there is some important reason for your visit.”
“Indeed, oh my king, for Gondor and the rest of the world is in danger. Colonizing enemies from the western lands have taken the Shire. They now threaten Rivendell. The people of Middle Earth need your help! Gather your soldiers and ride to Minas Tirith! I will lead some of them to help abandon Rivendell, the elves will need to take shelter in your lands to hide from the invaders.”
The king solemnly thought for a moment. Then he stood up and walked to the base of his throne. “Beepbobit, my friend, we have not for thousands of years intervened in the affairs of the other peoples of our world. We have kept our borders open, we have kept trade alive, but never have any of them come to our aid against the invading spiders of our forests! Nay, we had to quell that rebellion for ourselves, and many others of similar type. I will not so quickly come to the aid of Gondor, a kingdom which did not acknowledge our claims of sovereignty so long ago, a kingdom which sought to convert us to their crazed ways.
However, I will help the elves of Rivendell. They are a just folk. I will send riders immediatly to rescue them and bring them here. We will be safe from whatever comes; no invaders can defeat us in our own homeland. As for you beepbobit, I suggest you retire to your quarters and await the Elves arrival. There is no way you can prove to me that I need to come to Gondor’s aid.”
Disappointed, Beepbobit returned to his quarters as requested. He sat in thought for a great deal of time, before sending a Raven with this news back to Gondor, seeking assistance in changing the King’s mind.
