Wizard - Fire balls

considering it is a massive blast of pure fire. leave it. it's nice to have a powerful ranged attack to deal with those pesky trolls.
as for the flame thrower, when I use it it is generally against a) trolls or skilled players (MD_K47, wixxi, lotrloz etc.) b) overwhelming odds. there is also the fact it only takes one noob on your team to stand in front of you and make the entire blast useless.

Or a pro on the enemy team. One of the tactics I have used before if the enemy has flamethrowers is to have 'fire teams': everyone advances in a column, guy in the front who is willing to risk his own life as a soldier to soak up all the enemy fire and arrows or deflect them if possible. The guys behind will survive. Or 2 guys do this in terms so both survive.
 
You do know that you can avoid a flamethrower if the conditions are right:


  • If the wizard is far away
  • You’re in a large area
  • You can use the "a" and "d" keys correctly

Then shaft left or right dodging the weapon of mass destruction.
Simple :D

The point is if you are attacking a narrow passage or capturing the wizard wont be far away, you will be in a small area and you will panic so much that you will not be able to use the "a" and "d" keys correctly. Also lag could mean you cant dodge in time.
 
Let's not forget that the majority of players think bull-rushing in a straight line is a good idea. It's fun, sure, but yer gonna die.
