Am I the only one that is really annoyed of seeing so many posts online bashing children. And no I'm not talking about the whole "generational awfullness" of the newest one. I'm discussing the posts that label children as universal burdens on parents. Posts that constantly convey the idea of people's lives being ruined once they have children. You have parents in this world that actually preach the child free lifestyle, often times in front of their own kids.

Let me be the first to say that I know we are a source of struggle for adults. We are completely dependent on them and are vacuums of money, time, and energy. However what I have reached the breaking point of is being guilted for my own existence. You chose to have or adopt children. It's the decision that you both made as responsible adults knowing full well what would result in it. A little bit of instilling humility in misbehaving obnoxious brats is one thing, but when you remind those children that actually respect and love their parents about how much pain you put them through every single day it becomes excessive.

I was just informed by Vic of the attack on Istanbul a mere four hours ago. I will say this and keep it close to your hearts, there will never be a time where there is not going to be an asshole that simply wants to inflict as much misery as humanly possible onto others that will ruin your mood. We cannot ignore this but in a world of darkness we must kindle and stay objectively focused on achieving the light. My prayers and condolences go out to all direct and indirect victims of this most heinous attack.
