I was playing a game of Skywars today, where there was a guy named Luka. He had gotten a double-streak with TNT, meaning that he was just one kill away from getting the highly desirable achievement kit. It was clear he was excited to finally have it!
However, Luka was killed by a guy named Mike, just seconds before he could finish the streak. This resulted in that he lost his chance to get the achievement kit. He got annoyed? Oh, you bet…
He was basically raging in all languages he could, excessively accusing Mike for hacking in every possible way – over and over again. At few occasions before have I seen a ruder or more aggressive player than Luka.
A couple of minutes later, there was a last standoff between myself and the “hacker” Mike. I could easily have killed him. Luka even gave me “advice” for how to win. It was clear that Luka really wanted to see Mike lose.
So what did I do?
I jumped off the cliff and committed suicide. Because I knew, if Mike won, Luka would become even more furious.
Yes, I realize that this probably was quite mischievous and calculating from my side. But the truth is, Mike was actually quite mature and deserved a victory. And Luka really needed to get some form of punishment for his extremely bad temper and aggressive manners.
I’m generally trying to be a nice guy. But at the rare occasions when I decide to be mean, then I actually try and do it properly and with some style. Compared to conventional trolling, I am pretty sure something like this has a lot more effect.
