1) Can you define what a vampire is on the server? I can't reason for nor against before knowing what it is specifically. 2) I like option D (day: 1.5 hours, night: 2 hours).
Vampires are destroyed by sunlight. are extremely vulnerable to wood and holy water. spreads the dark disease through combat and exchanging their own blood. kill and drink blood instead of eating food. regenerate health quickly at the expense of food level. won’t be attacked by monsters unless the vampire attacks first. take no fall or suffocation damage. deal 25% more damage during close combat. have stationary food level unless in bloodlust mode. move faster, jump higher and deal 50% more damage during bloodlust. Yes but don't let people start as them. You'll get little edgelord snowflakes. 1 hour each I think should be sufficient. You should add the plugin where if 50% of players sleep it's day or something.
1: Yes, but I'd recommend that you make applications mandatory and don't allow more than an eighth or so of the players to be vampires. Otherwise, (and I've witnessed this before on other servers) you'll end up with a whole bunch of edgy god-modders who will literally make stuff up about their vampire character so they can obliterate anything in their way. 2: D
1 hour long days/nights are very annoying. I cant imagine anything longer and still being fun. everyone will just play vampires for fun if they are enabled.
Vampires, as a very small group, or as a week event or smthing. Day/night cylcle, not very in favor of this idea. I like the quick cycle instead of walking around in the dark for 2 hours. But maybe double both lengths would give a fun effect. You can also just lower the crop grow modifier for food scarcity.
So, thus far, the 1.5 hour day and 2 hour night time have been the most popular and the vampire idea is pretty much 50/50, tho I have to note I personally am not the biggest fan of the idea myself.
