It's not meta gaming if it's open to the public that Rhun has steel, merchants spreading it in my land, and being next to Rhun it would be pretty unlikely that I wouldn't know about it.mespecially when we focus on industry
Szuc, if he does know, it's going to take decades in his current state. If they accept me Qarir on taking part of the research, in may remove 1 to 3 decades but still the other decade(s) to go. So, it looks to me that's it's not metagaming. He's pretty much screwing himself over XD
It will take long but not decades, unlike other countries we don't work on our economy or military as much as everyone else does. We have our houses with extra rooming in the forges and stuff, we have our farms in which we currently get all our food from, and as I said before we are only focusing on industry not anything else. We do have a stable economy and if needed have an armed force to call upon but we focus on one thing and one thing only. At most I would say 150 years 94 with Qarir and Katiputan and at a minimum 31 years
Why do you think it would take longer for Qarir to get steel? We made some pretty great inventions before you guys did (like crossbow and ballista), but somehow everyone has it in their armies now. The only person who should have ballista is Szuc because he actually made a post about it. If anything, Bloodsworn would be the one to get steel realistically because they are a nation of forges.
The reason Rhun got the recipe instead of the Bloodsworn is that it was discovered by accident. There is no reason for The Circle to be actively researching it, they shouldn't know that such a metal can be created. The only reason the Circle is researching it is because of OOC information, which is by definition metagaming.
Oh that was an accident? Please tell me how Russia was able to research the atomic bomb after the US made it and not even officially gave it out and then lets see if this is metagaming. I ain't saying what Death is doing is not metagaming since there are reasons coming up in my head that counters each other but accidents are no excuse for it. -.-
Russia had spies within the Manhattan Project. There is no way the Circle could have anything similar, since it was only created very recently. Also, some of the best inventions in the history of the human race were created by accident. Most notably potato chips.
I'm pretty sure they can if Russia can do it on a much more industrialize guarded place. For Russia, the atomic bomb was also very recently for them as well.
The palace the recipe is contained in is more secure, given the fact that we don't have a ton of scientists working on it, and also the fact that it is literally a fortress. And my point was that the Circle could not have a spy network already in the project, as the Circle didn't exist until very recently.
The Manhattan project also secure, not to mentioned it's secret. If you don't have a ton of scientists, then there's no way you would of gotten steel sooner, unless you have an alien working at your service. Not to mentioned the Manhattan project, it has strategic security positions like your "fortress." My point is, accidents.... terrible excuse XD
My point is that the Soviet Union had already existed when the Manhatten Project was started, so they could have gotten spies into it. The Circle, meanwhile, is brand new.
Ok. my bad for not mentioning your point. Sorry . Anyways, just because they are new doesn't mean they can't send spies. They most have gotten the experience from countries they originated from. Here are some examples: -Americans got their democracy from other ancient democratic countries at their beginning -the invention of potato chips were in England, and the US were still a new country Yes, your steel seems to be more private but it doesn't change the fact that they can send spies, even not knowing important info that you kept secret
