War we don't even know what happened to the ships, it would be metagaming knowing about the attack

The DM is allowed to do that to move the RP forward.

We don't know they have been attacked, we still think that they could just rebel and leave moscovy, sunk coz a storm or attacked by a cracken/pirates. But the tsar is paranoid so he might accuse someone.
