The Unfathomable Tide “Do the fools not see it? The darkness that consumes all slowly grows closer to us. Every moment that passes, it creeps just a bit closer, till suddenly, it devours us. And then we join them, those in the East. And then it begins anew…” - Ludenhof Grungstein, Imperial Border Watchman Death has always been something dreaded and feared by the people of the Elder Realm. Few openly embrace it, for within the Great Void are creatures that will devour the very soul of those that pass on. There are some that have mastered the dark art of drawing forth these souls, twisting them to their own foul purposes. These foul beings are called the Dead-Walkers, for during their countless years of summoning the souls, they take on the appearance of a dead person. Over time, the Dead-Walkers joined forces, eventually overthrowing a large kingdom and establishing control of the remains. The result was the Legion of the Crypt, ruled by an undead aristocracy and populated by the former mutated villagers of the old kingdom and countless risen dead. The Legion is made up of weak but numerous cannonfodder troops, deadly elite infantry, strong monstrous units, and devastating magics. Hordes of shambling rotten corpses and groaning mutated villagers slowly trudge towards the enemy, while regiments of silent skeletal warriors march towards their foe. Packs of savage creatures prowl the flanks of the undead horde, while colonies of bats and other flying beasts glide above the Legion, picking off isolated units or distracting larger forces with suicidal attacks. It is unique among the armies of the Elder Realm in the way that they lack any true commanders, that it has virtually no ranged troops, and that it benefits from the inability to flee from battle. Most of the troops lack the ability to feel pain, making even the weakest soldier much more resilient than one would expect The Hosts “Ya kill a dozen of ‘em. A hundred ‘ore take their place. ‘Nd if a boy in da ‘hieldwall falls, he gonna ‘ise up to join those ‘nd

Tfw everyone thinks he can make his own fantasy world or write a book. You guys are not special, what makes you think that your book will do better then others? There are millions of people like you who try their luck with books and let me tell you a secret. Even though they are millions, all their books look alike and they are all unoriginal. The same races (common you really think you can create a new race?) The same story, the same conflict and the same ending. Do yourself a favor and don't, it will only kill your dreams and you will just spend time for nothing.

I never said "book" I said world. I create worlds and write books for the fun of it, not to get famous or because I think it'll do better. I don't think I'll be famous in the future, in fact, I don't even plan to publish these, it's just a hobby of mine

You never read his book so why should he listen to you in the first place? Although, he may be a dumbass for thinking he could make millions of dollars, but let him do what he wants. He will probably make only a few bucks but if that's what he wants, then let him.

You see, the author of the book earn something like 8%-28% of the money for each book that have been sold. This shit won't leave him enough money to buy food for 2 mouths (including bills and stuff) he will only loose money that he could earn if he would have just worked at MCDONALD'S.

I highly doubt he can nor will become a full time author. So, I'm sure he can do the book and his job at the same time. He can make it, I'm sure, unless he's idiotic enough to make it a full time job, which I'm sure he won't when he becomes older.

Here's the cheese, plebs: Am I writing a book? Heck yeah. It's more productive than sitting around and doing nothing all day. Was I being sarcastic when I said I'm going to make millions? Yes, I was. Chill your beans. Am I going to be a full time author? Not yet, and when I say "not yet" I mean not until I see for myself what publishing books can yield monetarily. (And you saying "do yourself a favor and don't, it will only kill your dreams" is in and of itself more dream-killing than the prospect of literary failure. Go spread your manure somewhere else please.)
