I haven't said anything in a while, because I've been in my RP, so I decided to post something I've recently taken interest in.
In WW1, many different experimental armors were used. Some of these are featured in Battlefield 1.
These receive hate very often, with people saying they are "inaccurate" and "too strong" and "not fair".
Too strong, maybe, but not exactly innaccurate.
I the picture below, you can see both styles for the Sentry class, a loadout that can be picked up on the map.
On the left is the Italian Farina armor from the campaign. It has an accurate Farina helmet, however, a visor is attached. It also has an accurate chest plate. The only innacurate thing about it is the visor and armor on the arm. The MG 08/15 is just a filler for the Perino MG they wanted to use.
On the right is the basic pick up class on Multiplayer. It has an accurate Sappenpanzer Mask, which was used by German snipers in the early war. The armor is the experimental trench armor used by the Germans. As before, the only inaccurate thing is the arm armor. The gun used is the MG-08 again, which seems fairly accurate since the rest of the gear is experimental and rarely used.
Mostly, the Sentry armor is accurate. The only inaccurate things are the extra little pieces of armor.
This isn't talking about the strength of the armor or the accuracy of teams using it, just the design.
