I believe that there is a bug in Moria Gold where one is able to escape with two pieces of gold at once when placing the block of gold at the capture thingy.
I have experienced this bug a few months ago but then Tobberz told me it was probably lag. For me it happened when I right-clicked repeatedly and very fast as I was approaching the block to put the gold on.
I unfortunately don't have any evidence of this other than my memory. A fellow player (TheApplePiano) has however experienced the same bug, as seen in the attached screenshot.
