Concerning the lessening of bans

Sorry to diss what some of the mods are doing but I would just like to point this out. People are having their bans lessened after claiming that they didn't hack when they obviously were. They were not being sorry for what they did, they only want to be unbanned so they can hack again (most of the time). This makes me wonder why members of the staff are doing this.

Poll is not serious because its mainly the staff's decision, not the public's.
 
The idea is to give the a second chance. Some might go ahead and hack anyway, but some may actually stop hacking. Accidents regarding family members/friends and hacks do exist, and this gives those people a second chance. I'm not really sure where I'm go with this, or if this is even coherent, but it's to do with being nice and stuff. Someone else takeover, I'm doing terrible at explaining this.
 
No its not that at all Aj. Give them a chance to admit what they did wrong then lessen the ban, not lie to the staff then get their bans lessened.

Agreed. I'll take this up with the other, seeing that lying shouldn't get your ban shortened.
 
yea i agree they should not get their temp ban lessened if they do not admit to hacks in the first place when they obviously used them.

your right about second chances but that is irrelevant in this thread because its a temp ban anyways. this is about lessening it.

It's not a temp ban. If you get caught hacking for the first time, it's a perm ban, and if you appeal and apologize it becomes a temp ban.
 
Some people don't apologise and get perm bans into temp bans, that is rather dumb. We need a better system than that. Thank you Cookie!
