Not all constructors have swords. And I doubt any constructor would use the axe long enough in pvp for it to die. They'd have to be fighting naked people, and take lots of breaks.
Maybe for decor? Or maybe at some time Tim was planning on using some sort of tone as barricading?

well you see if you break a block you can right click very fast and press a button behind it. so some easter eggs have stone over the button. its an easter egg hunting tool.

If a tool had efficiency on it, No matter what, it would mine a block faster.
Allow me to simplify this or put it into something I can say
Efficiency 2 pick mines wood decently fast, and Stone VERY fast
Efficiency 2 Axe mines wood Very fast, and stone Decently fast.
It was when in Minecraft, if A tool had the Efficiency enchant on it,
it would mine EVERYTHING faster. but, You could just give the constructor
a Wooden pick, and Just add cobble to the constructor, or Iron blocks.
If a tool had efficiency on it, No matter what, it would mine a block faster.
