Here is the link the the previous thread about elections.
http://www.empirewar.org/forum/page/2/m/5312442/viewthread/13220325-elections-master-laketown-nominate-yourself#p70945445
Turns out, the master doesn't really rule as much anymore as the king of Dale rules for the most part. So, here's the deal
Same intro, the same problems face you: Rhun is gaining power, will Dale fight against them, or seek diplomatic options? Will Laketown hold on to neutrality, or be pulled into the conflict? It's up to the new king and master to decide.
AGAIN IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE ELECTION you need to comment with the following things:
1. some way of saying you want to be in it
2. Your name
3. A short paragraph explaining why you'd be a good king/master

The first place will get their choice of Dale or Laketown, the second place will get the other.
YOU HAVE UNTIL TUESDAY TO NOMINATE YOURSELF
good luck to all!

I volunteer as tribute.

Kingjoseph1st (In case you wondered)

Some cities need gigantic armies and thick walls. Other's need vicious catapults or deadly scorpions. Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. And I know of no finer men than those who dwell in Dale. We don't have the time or money to coat our lands and walls with traps and weapons. So we will make our city a trap. It's streets will become our weapons. To these men of Rhun I say come in! It's not like you'll be leaving again. This war will turn our city into a graveyard, but not for us! They say easterlings where armour of gold, but we traders no exactly what to do with our gold!

A vote for Joe, is a vote for victory!

For bravery!

And most importantly, for Profit!

*Crowd cheers*

I, Titan Kronos, king of the Titans, Titan of Time, and Ruler of everything that is subject to time. (Which means, everything) Will take up this heavy task.

The *cough* wonderful....*cough* people.... of *sneer* Dale need a strong leader at this dark time. I *cough* care for these people and I will see to it that these people shall never fear again. I shall see to it that our economy grows, the warriors are stronger, and the archers are accurate. I *sputter* will see that Dale's walls are tall and glorious again like in our days of old. Even the dwarves of the Lonely Mountain shall gaze in wonder at our city! I shall bring back old war techniques to aid in this time of war and Dale shall never fall. Rhun will have only two choices, join us or be destroyed. I am a kind King, as long as everyone obeys me......

I would be a strong leader of either place. I can be a diplomat. I know how to rule and can help the citizens of this fine place. I will rebuild the ties between us and our allies to ensure that we are at the utmost strength. We will once again be the pride of the cities of men!

Never gone to why I should be elected
I will reforge the trading of old and get protection and arms from mirkwood. Lake, town and dale shall thrive as all shall, share in the glory and riches of my efforts to make lake town and dale become the most rich kingdom there is

It would give you too much power... Therefore, the elves could try to take over the world of men and then be corrupted by the DARK LORD.

I can vouche for my friend Super. The Easterlings have long been enemies of Northman and Dunedain alike, but Super's tribe has conquered much of eastern Rhun and Khand, and has spread all the way to the Carnen. He is the Third Rhunedain Emperor.

Don't you fool see?! Having Rhun as an ally of the free people would allow us to make a two sided offensive on Mordor. Plus, Rhun has the most badass soldiers east of the Anduin.
