Perhaps 960266 can add new rank, helper.
The helpers will help new players to get throw their first time in EW.
(Maybe give them some basic commands like time set so they could help not only the new players)

Maybe give them all the commands thats better tbh
No, the entire idea of this rank is adding players with enough power to help but that they can't destroy and ruin the server.
Tim already gave all the commands to players which he fully trust.
Helpers will be less then a mod (less power) which means that Tim can add more of them without being worried of them destroying the server/abuse their power.

Contrary to popular belief, mods have much lower powers than it is thought they have. And even then, if one is in trouble he or she should just ask for help.
We don't need a person with negative powers and with a role that could be taken by anyone when it's needed, sowwy.

I kinda like the idea it will help the newbies tho which i prefer than seeing them strugle.
I think we can cope with that.
I dislike this suggestion.
Also, who would be a helper? What commands would they actually have? How many would there be?

Staff elect some people whom they find worthy. You ofc ask them if they accept being helpers

If its actually gonna happen a new rank will come which is Sentinel or somethig nlike that. It would cotst 50 euro :o

Give him the option to set the time to day, clear weather, fly (as long as he didn't pick a team) and an option to mute players (some sort of chat moderator as well)
TBH most of the staff team play at the same time which mean that most of the time there is no one to help noobs.
Add the fact that the maps are not that clear, they don't know what to do or how classes work and you got a very confused and angry noob which will rage quit after a pro archer will kill him at the 50 time.
Another option is just a normal player with a helper title and when the player first join he will get a massage "for help /msg any helper"
For start add like 3 of those helper and after a week check out how they are doing, if they are helpful and so on.

Here's some random points I made. I'm just commenting on some of the stuff on this thread so don't worry if it has little to do with the original idea. Number 5 will blow your mind! (as in clickbait titles if you didn't get the joke)

1. Why would they need to change the time or the weather?
2. Giving fly is a strange idea. "Let's lead the newbies into battle by flying!" I don't really see what the point in it is.
3. Allowing the ability to mute someone doesn't really contribute to a "helper" role.
4. Donating for a "helper" class is not a smart idea. People can and will abuse it to troll the new players.
5. Mods should already be helping the new guys out. They are the leaders and role models of the server. I think we have enough active mods on the server and I don't think we need anymore for the moment.

My idea for the topic: Add an option to turn the helper tag on or off so people can help when they feel like it and not always be hounded by new players unless this becomes a full time role.

1. Coz sometimes it's night or rain.
2. In that way they could show the noobs where to go.
3. I said that this is an option to make helper a chat mode as well.
4. Who said such thing, it's a rank that the staff team will give to worthy players.
5. Sadly the mods are too busy making llama trips, playing, keking around, coding or chatting with others.
This is a bad idea, this can cause trolling. The rank should be given to serious players which the staff team trust, not to everyone that wish to have helper tag.

1. you can do /gamerule doWeatherCycle false as well as /gamerule doDaylightCycle false
2. umm...
3. ok
4. ok
5. If tim or steal accept that idea and release it, they will have to warn mods. It actually IS mod's job.
