How to apply for the Empirewar build team.
Hello.
Today I want to show you in this post how to apply for the offical Empirewar build team. Alot of people have beem asking where to apply, applied wrong, or straight weren't a good fit in the team.
First of all.
The Empirewar build team is trying to recreate entire Middleearth in minecraft. It started with Conrad (lockrules) with friends, and later Tim (sjoerdtim). Before you apply, think about building. Do you think you're up to building actual good things? Or are your building skills bad? Practise makes perfect. Don't send in a build you made in 10 minutes thats just plain old boring.
Good buildings / screenshots
Now the most important part. How to have a building that is good enough. Well you have to start with a base. That is how you start with most of the houses. Some of the people make houses too simple.
Example.
This house is too flat. There are depths. No details. The roof is also simple. Let's improve this house!
Some depths have been added. The roof is much better now. But still not good enough... More details is needed!
Yes this house looks good! Every house can be more improved. We added some more details and look how it looks now. Some fences, flowers outside of the window. We improved the roof a bit. This is of course a normal house. If you think that you can do better than this. Just simply built a house with details and stuff. I hope that this helps many people. And try to get accepted this time!
How to apply?
Because alot of people don't know how to apply I made a tutorial.
1. Go to epicquestz.com
Go on forums at the top of this website and scroll down and click Build Applications.
2. Go to the epicquestz forums --> Project Builder Applications
After you've read through "Please read before applying" made by lockrules you're almost ready.
3. Upload some images of you builds to the internet.
If you don't know how to upload pictures or where to upload them, Keven / Torvin made a great tutorial:
Step 1: Make a Imgur account if you don't have one
Step 2: Upload your screenshots. You should see the Upload Images button on the left side. Right next to the Imgur logo.
Step 3: Copy and paste the link of the screenshot in your application. And that is it! You are done and the Creator/Artist can soon see the pictures of your buildings.
There are plenty of other sites to post your screenshots on. As far as I know is that Imgur is the most popular one.
4. Writing the Application
Use the form application that you've got from locks post and copy it in. Add all the necessary information and pictures.
5. Wait for feedback!
It can take up to 2 weeks before you hear back from us. An artist or creator will take a look at your application and accept / deny it. If you're accepted great! If you're denied you can always make another one, before you do so, think about what you could improve or change.
