i decided that i would make a thread on tips and tricks for farming points. for all the new players we have coming on the forums.
Moria gold:
be a dwarf archer on the wall and when someone runs up to the gold let them pick it up. and after they do they are very weak. make sure you predict which of the 3 paths they will take and position yourself so it will be the easiest to shoot them while they are picking up the gold. after they pick it up and your in position shoot them until they die if a melee class is coming from one way and your on top of the wall they are walking under jump of and in front of them. that way they will be trapped and you will get 6 easy points one way or the other.
Moria:
rush to the archer class as soon as this map starts spawn and rush to the secret way before any other goblins/dwarves can get there. after you get there climb up to the good archer spot and shoot goblins at the flag when they rush it. it makes it near impossible to capture the flags for the goblins no matter how many trolls they have there if you sit there and just spam crit arrows at them untill they die. and since they are the ones who rushed the flag they all probably have 3+ killstreaks so you get 3-6 points for killing them. just make sure you dont soften them all up at once target one at a time otherwise the melee classes will charge and get all the kills from you softening the trolls up.
another method of geting points easy here is geting to the wildlass. after you get to that the goblins are screwed.
you just sit there and shoot at the archers that are always there trying to get 1 or 2 kills. i once shot at a group of 3 archers and killed them all in 1 shot from the wildlass. but you have to make sure not to get the goblin archers to mad at you or they wont stop shooting at you in the wildlass til your dead. so mostly target the melee orcs that hardly pay any
attention to you.
Erebor
play as orcs and be a troll. load the catapults and get that +2 points and mass kill the archers. a good catapult shot can take out 10 archers shooting the ramming orcs. but you dont get points for killing 10 archers with the catapult. you only get a kill with a dirrect hit from one. after the gate breaks run in with the crowed capturing everything and killing people easily because you are a troll. make sure you get those crits in. better to walk jumping getting crits than to be slowly sprinting. and try to map out erebor in your head. helps you navigate to flags about to be captured. you can earn 400+ points this way. that is the amount i earned one time by using the catapults and geting to the flags about to be captured.
Minas turith:
if there are any nazguls unless you know they are noob nazguls easy to kill just leave. go play lms for 3 rounds or something. you will lose lots of points. if the nazgul dont get you the trolls will. even if you play a mordor archer you wont get any kills because and nazgul will see the archer is destracted with you and kill steal somehow or other.
Minas morgul:
be a mordor archer. climb atop one of the 2 green triangle towers on either side of the ram. and shoot the gondor soldiers siting there. i think this is how MD got his 150? i think killstreak with archer. one of the best ways to farm points.
and again if there are any nazgul that kill steal just leave go play lms for about 3-5 rounds.
the black gate:
there is only one way i know to farm points good on this map. its to play mordor be the melee class and those 5x5 towers with 1 ladder up to it you just stay on the ladder and hit the gondor players above you. in mc you can hit somebodys legs while they cant hit you because they are 1 block to far to hit you. very good for killing 5+ people all at the flag. just make sure you target the smart people first or they will figure it out and come down the ladder after you.
