Is the server down?

A day or so ago I went on minecraft and the empire war server took about 2 minutes to ping and then had an X over the bars area like when it means it cannot connect and then i click join and it takes a minute before just saying "cannot connect to server" and usually it takes half a second to ping and join. Is the server down? or is it something wrong on my end? (I can connect to every other server to my list though). I cannot connect now either, so for a couple of days.

Its the same for me, it probably has been DDosed
 
Yep, the server is down. I think yesterday there was a lot of lag, so yeah possibly Ddos, nothing you can do to stop it. So, probably Tim will get the server back up asap.
