Planned Making Fire Archer Less Annoying

This suggestion has been accepted for implementation and will be added in a future update.

It has been said before by many people but there need to be certain changes to the Fire Archer class in order to make it less annoying. The class itself is not bad or unbalanced but it's mechanics make it very unfun to play against.

-> Reduce the height of fire when being on fire (like Low Fire resourcepack)
-> Reduce the chance of a floor block that has been hit by a fire arrow to catch on fire down to 50%
-> Make fire on the floor dissapear after some seconds (e.g 10 seconds)

These changes will help it feel more enjoyable to play against while not actually nerfing the class.

Regarding the rest, I do not share the same sentiment with the second suggestion. As much as possible, I'd like a pure demonstration of skill rather than getting lucky on the 50% fire. Instead, I think the fire can be 5 seconds before it burns out. That's what the last iterations of the server had similarly anyways with torcher classes

I agree with you that the class should keep its skill elements however what I mentioned does not impact it in any significant way. Nobody aims on the ground instead of a player unless they are trying to be annoying with the class or they miss and the arrow hits the ground. This suggestion doesnt impact the chance the players getting set on fire and is instead focused on reducing how annoying to play it is when someone pkays it. The damage you possibly get when the ground is on fire is negligible compared to what the archer does if he hits you. Overall I dont consider these suggestions to be a nerf in any major sense

This would be true when you’re playing against 1-2 fire archers. However, when most of the team played fire archers, there are cases when the fire made a difference through area denial, causing the enemy team to capture the flag. More the reason the third suggestion you made should be implemented at a faster rate of disappearance
