Medic alternative: Banner Bearer

This is an alternate class to use instead of medic wich can lead its team. You can see the large banner from a distance so your teammates will know where to go. Teams will also stick together more this way and because of its low damage its easily killed on its own. In addition it also has more ladders so he can find a work around if his team gets stuck in the same loop.

Name: Banner Bearer
Weapons: Banner and a stone sword
Armor: Iron Chestplate, gold leggings and gold boots
Utilities: Has 4 ladders instead of 2 and can get even more from the point shop
Banner Ability: Gives regen 1 to teammates in an area of 3 blocks around him while holding the banner.

V2 Banner Bearer (Stronger and has more abilities)
Name: Banner Bearer
Weapons: Banner and a stone sword
Armor: Gold chestplate, diamond leggings and diamond boots
Utilities: Has 4 ladders instead of 2 and can get even more from the point shop
Banner Ability: Gives regen 1 to teammates in an area of 3 blocks around him while holding the banner.
Special Abilities: Captures flags at twice the speed and gains more points from capping. It can also ride horses/wargs. Can give a teammate or himself resistance 2 for 6 seconds by right clicking but this removes the banner which has to be restocked again. You will have to wait at least 12 seconds before you can restock after using the ability.

(You could also give him multiple banners with different effects like strength or speed but this would make certain classes OP around him.)
 
So, do you have to place a banner for it to work? Are you banners limited? Is the banner connected to you and you're the source of the effects? Does being this class give support points? Does the regen affect the person wielding the class itself? Does the bannerman get a special buff himself?

So, whats the catch of this class? I mean, support, yea. But, what else? Try and sell the class to me. I am in favor of a class just like this, but try and spice it up a bit. Like, with mage, you can cast fireballs and scale large walls in a single leap. Ranger, you can send a volley deadly stygian steel into the hearts of your foes and strike down multiple enemies in a single blow.

I am not going to say yes, BUT I am not going to say this idea sucks either. Try and think about it a bit more.​
 
From what I understood it's the banner that you use like a helmet.

This literally replaces medic, but makes it much much easier to farm points, from my pov
 
The banner bearer is bearing the banner so not placing them. You have one banner which only works in your hand. As of points I think its best if it gets tripple the amount of points you would normally get from capturing flags. You can also give it the resistance effect and yes it does get regen from itself. I added a V2 with more abilities but this can make the class a bit OP.

The Class Rules

This is something that could easily go wrong if handled improperly. So, here are some possible guidelines this could follow.

Cooldowns

A banner wielder (Max of 1 per team) could arrive 2 minutes into the game, and place a banner. If a person on that team can see the banner while it is active, they will receive the buffs (below). When placed, the banner will provide several buffs while the banner is active (15 - 30 seconds), and then after the banner is deactivated the banner wielder will need to wait 2 minutes to place it again.

Buffs

I will categorize this into several ratings; Most Likely, Likely, Unlikely, Most Unlikely. This is not the chances of what effect you will get, but the likeliness of them being added to the game in the banner wielder (so I'm betting Absorption will be added if this is, but resistance will not be)
